Gun maker Remington announced a plan to invest $110 million in a manufacturing facility in Huntsville, Ala., today a clear signal to the ruling class in its home State of New York that its setting down roots in a political climate that values the 2nd Amendment.
At the start of its lengthy, 24-State search for a new facility, Remington made it clear that its growing base of operations wont affect its New York employees. But the company also made it clear that New York Governor Andrew Cuomos enthusiastic embrace of knee-jerk gun control legislation signaled a need for firearms companies to begin looking out for the future.
A union official representing Remington employees admitted as much, telling The Post-Standard over the weekend the gun-grabbing political atmosphere in New York cant be good for the companys future there even though its been a fixture in New York since 1816.
No question, it helps that we believe in the Second Amendment Right to Bear Arms, said Alabama legislator Mo Brooks. It also helps that we dont believe in class-warfare and envy, rather, we believe in applauding success that is hard-earned, as Remingtons has been.
Many of the new facilitys 2,000 jobs are expected to pay between $40,000 and $50,000 (not counting benefits), according to Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle.

AAh perhaps Rant & rave Cuomo gets an inkling of what happens when you think you can become President of the USA by destroying a business in NY State operating here since 1816( 40 years after the Declaration of Independence and the 2nd amendment was enacted). Now I hear that a new form of the AR 15 rifle has been produced that meets Gov. Cuomo exacting legislation created by a gun smith in the Adirondack Mountains. Despite his efforts he wouldn't get v**ed if he keeps up his antics. Now R& R Cuomo wants inmates jailed in NY State prisons to attend college but whats to be done with all the "fuck U" tatooted on their faces, noses, NECKS and hands?...who will hire them?

As I said on a similar thread about this issue:
I believe we should all send a congratulatory letter to President Obama and NY Governor Cuomo. Between the two of them, two DEMOCRATS, and with help from the DNC have actually succeeded in producing jobs Mr Obama promised years ago. I never thought Democrats could produce jobs, but one cannot deny this. Increased sales are attributable solely to Mr. Obama and the DNC. However, it took Mr. Cuomo to send jobs to Alabama, a southern state which can usually use extra money and extra jobs. Mr. Cuomo also deserves a thank you note for sacrificing jobs in his own state in order to help out those with totally different political philosophy from the two politicians. Remington probably would have built the new plant in NY, for convenience's sake, but with people who like guns being told to not come to New York, I think the company was innately wise in choosing the south in which to begin new production.
Congrats to President Obama, Governor Cuomo, the DNC, and Remington for this extraordinary help to the south!!!

Thank you for jobs in the South
The theory that becoming a victim is somehow morally superior to defending yourself and your family makes perfect sense!
