We are heading north for the duration. The storm will get to South Carolina one way or another. Every sane person I know is leaving here.
I find it interesting that two monster hurricanes have hit this country in a very short time, and hurricane season is only half over. I believe the scientific explanation, which is that the extreme severity of these hurricanes is caused by g****l w*****g. The more heat in the atmosphere, the more in the oceans, warm waters cause hurricanes. The temperature of the ocean water in the path of Irma is around eighty seven degrees according to the weather channel. Thats good enough for me.
If anybody has another reason such once in a lifetime hurricanes occurring in such rapid succession, I'll be glad to hear your reasoning.

Your thread title has nothing to do with your narrative. But, to respond to your question, I believe that the storms has much to do with c*****e c****e. But, the climate does change with or without pollution caused by auto and factories. However, as I have said many times, we must take care of our planet. Now this begs the question.... what are you in particular doing to reduce your carbon footprint?

Dumb ass, these are the first hurricanes we've had in 13 years. We used to have two, three and sometimes four a year. I agree that you should consider heading inland from SC. I'm on the coast of Va. and will be watching this one carefully. Mike

It is very cool here today and tonight, so I guess we are safe. Often the high temps do accompany hurricanes but that has been the case since before Al Gore's hoopla over g****l w*****g.

I had two Hamburgers last night. Made them on the grill myself. This evening was Porterhouse Steak and a Baked Potato. Now maybe "g****l w*****g" made my menu be this way...got any proof one way or another? AHhhh NOPE!

The Hurricanes are produced by the Clintons and Obama. They stole so much from the USA and have some sort of electronic beam that creates these storms. If you have another reason or proof this is not so, let me know.

Yeah, The Clinton Pig created all the flooding from Harvey because she's crying up a monsoon after getting her but spanked by Trump.

Obammy started the 185 mph winds in Hurricane Irma because he got so mad when Trump dumped his DACA, that his nappy head exploded and blew the Atlantic into a swirling Spookicane.

Pennylynn, I have to do the best I can with what I have. My choices are extremely limited. I can't afford a Tessler car. I can't install solar panels, because it's against the rules of my HMO. The summer in South Carolina would be impossible without air-conditioning.The only thing I can do is to try to get the government to change many of the laws it has regarding the burning of coal, and other such problems.

teabag, We have had to go inland twice because of the hurricanes that you say never happened. I suggest that you open a newspaper once in a while, or even better, take a course in meteorology at a local community college.

Now you are giving excuses; you can reduce your carbon footprint by recycling, car pooling, eating locally grown foods, when possible, walk or ride your bike in order to avoid carbon emissions, properly inflated tires improve your gas mileage by up to 3%, insulate and seal your home, turn off lights you’re not using and when you leave the room. Replace incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent or LED, using climate-appropriate plants in your garden, installing drip irrigation so that plants receive only what they need, unplug unused electronics.. You can't do any of these, then go to http://www.globalstewards.org/ecotips.htm#reduce to see if there are things you can do. There are many ways to reduce your footprint. Complaining to the government ... if that is all you can think of to do, you truly are a Liberal Democrat who thinks that everyone, to include the government, needs to be answerable but not you.
