I happen to disagree with some of your statements but the one about not resorting to name calling I do agree with. There are certain people on this forum that can do nothing but name call. Namely Retired669, BoJester, Jon Hatfield, CWO ...., and many others mostly liberals. There are some conservatives but not that many that also do a lot of name calling. I have stooped to some name calling myself when responding to someone trying to degrade me with outlandish BS.
Anyway, this post is about whether Obama should be impeached. All the reasons the original poster stated are good reasons. If the House were to draw Articles of Impeachment it would at least present in a single document that would spell out all the things this man has done to undermine the country and Congress. I know it won't go anywhere but it may polarize the people to realize what a tyrant he has become, and it may influence someone's v**e when the next e******ns comes around. That is assuming there will be another "honest" e******n, which is highly doubtful.

Well stated and totally on target. I sorta doubt there has been an honest e******n if over 50 years, maybe even 100 years. But we may luck out and have one one of these days.

Could be. And that could be good. It took Clinton's impeachment to show me what the DNC is really all about. I have always followed politics, but not to the degree that I started watching it when I saw NOTHING happen when a democrat was constitutionally impeached.

 I agree wholeheartedly. For the exact same reason. What an eye opener. Bill should be pissed off about what he did compared to him. If Hillary was out of politics I'm sure we would see a different side and hear a different tune from. Bill

Banjo Jack, spoken like a true Liberal/Marxist Muslim. Impeachment will take his time and discourage some of his Marxist programs. Anything is better than allowing this Illegal Half Breed (NOT BLACK FOR YOU MORONS) MARXIST SUNNI MUSLIM TO ACT LIKE A KING.

Mind telling me HOW this will take his time, or slow him down, genius? NOTHING will happen as long as the Dems and RINOs control the Senate, and the Comrade-in-Chief, unlike you, knows it. The House RINOs have already handed him the keys to the kingdom, with the no debt limit cap. Does that sound like he's slowing down, Einstein? By the way, who are you calling a Liberal/Marxist Muslim? You might want to start using your brain before you spout an opinion. Once more, tell us exactly HOW your brilliant plan will cause more than a little inconvenience to the Tovarisch?

But it would sure show which party supports the usurper of the Constitution, and which doesnt. T*****rs and their supporters need to be removed from office.

Which party supports the usurper? Which doesn't? You mean the 28 Republicans who v**ed with the Democrats to give Obama unlimited power to incur debt in the coming fiscal year? THAT party? There are three parties in the House right now, Democrats, Conservatives, and the Boehner Cockroaches. There is no more Republican. There are Conservatives and Cockroaches.

Well, you certainly aren't a liberal buddy, but I do agree that an impeachment trial would be a good thing to at least put him and his crimes against American front and center. I disagree that there are not Republicans any longer, the RNC has turned into a quasi Democratic party so there are plenty of them. What there isn't enough of is real Conservatives. Only the TeaParty people could be considered true conservatives.

Act today! Contact your Representative and let them know patriotic Americans want this tyranny ended and limited government restored.

Keep the faith. Keep the peace. We shall overcome.

Picking up where I left off...

ACA (selective enforcement strikes back):

To be fair, he's not rewriting the ACA. He is selectively enforcing it. There are a lot of skeptics and he's hoping to ease the business community into the law if and when the success of it is self-evident. There's a lot of fear out there, and fear is a powerful motivator to both positive and negative action.

Will this impact businesses owners negatively? Maybe in the bottom line at first, but there's more going into what affects the bottom line than just expenditure and revenue.

A happy employee, is a hard working employee. Theoretically, you'll get infinitely better returns from a happy employee than you will from a disgruntled one. Are you more inclined to do business with a company where the the customer service rep is nice and understanding and works hard to satisfy your complaint, or will you do business with the mean rep that doesn't care about your problem? The pattern that I see from many companies that I've worked for is that (at least it's my perception) the upper management doesn't care about my well-being; that I'm just a means to a vacation or a bonus for them. How does that affect me? I'm not as inclined to go the extra mile, and I'm constantly looking for a better opportunity, which increases their costs as they have to train a new person.

Then I guess we come to whether or not it's right to force a business to provide a benefit for it's employees. I'm not sure. If a business has poor benefits, they should evolve or die.

Executive Orders:

In general, executive orders are an expected duty of the President going all the way back to George Washington.

As it pertained the the DREAM act, it applied to students (current or former I'm not certain of) that graduated from highschool or earned a GED and honorably discharged service members. It's more akin to a sweeping pardon for these individuals than an imposition of law.

Cap and trade:

As far as I can tell the executive order pertaining to this claim is http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/08/30/executive-order-accelerating-investment-industrial-energy-efficiency

After a read through, the only mention of emissions trading is as a suggestion for how to incentivize using Combined Heat and Power technology and clean energy. The EPA is under the purview of the Executive and exists because Congress believed the President had the authority to reorganize the agencies of the Executive branch.

As established by Nixon's 1970 Reorganization plan No 3:
Nixon's 1970 Reorganization plan No 3 wrote:

"The principal roles and functions of the EPA would include:

The establishment and enforcement of environmental protection standards consistent with national environmental goals.

The conduct of research on the adverse effects of pollution and on methods and equipment for controlling it, the gathering of information on pollution, and the use of this information in strengthening environmental protection programs and recommending policy changes.

Assisting others, through grants, technical assistance and other means in arresting pollution of the environment.

Assisting the Council on Environmental Quality in developing and recommending to the President new policies for the protection of the environment."
br "The principal roles and functions of the... (show quote)

Creating an incentive program among their regulations assists others in arresting pollution consistent with one of the purposes the agency was created for.

////////////////////////////

I do not believe any of the topics touched on thus far constitute a violation worthy of impeachment, or at the very least will not result in an impeachment proceeding that will a) result in Obama's removal from office or b) be supported by a good majority of the people. The drawing up of articles of impeachment could very well backfire on the representatives drawing up the articles or v****g in favor of it. Not to mention the defeat of the proceedings in the Senate would serve to divide the country further.
