Ma'am, Sis, my suggestion would to be to hold those children close and show them what is right and also show them why the other way of acting is wrong. Give them actual examples. Hey, you saw what X did, look what it got them. Point it out, show them what their actions will wrought. Be tough but loving but don't give those kids an inch. Stay, to a point, on their backs. Remember though, everyone, even and maybe especially kids, need some room but it is up to you to let them have the room you know will be good for them. There is no saving you anymore, you've made your bed, same as I and many here have but you can show those young minds made of mush how a bed is made. Ma'am, in my humble opinion that how you protect those beauties. I would also keep them so busy with sports, scouts, etc. Bring other people in who would be fun but good influences. That is the direction I took with my daughter and many of her compatriots and have had the extreme enjoyment of seeing these dummies become for the most part alive and successful members of society. Some are gay, some were drug addicted, some were drunks, but you can never give up. K**l them with love. Leave it up to us old farts to protect them from bullets. Louie, don't short change yours. You have the need to protect, me too. My daughter set me sort of straight the other day. Mind you she's been shooting since around 5 or so, helped me butcher a deer hung on her swing set when she was 7. The kid earned a scholarship to collage for softball and volleyball. Graduated with two BA degrees in 4 years. I barely graduated High School in 5 years. My granddaughter can hit a 5" gong at 300 yard with her .243 every shot yet she's afraid to shoot the thing because it makes too much noise. Well, it's she (granddaughter ) and me in the bow stand this year. They don't make noise.

Any way my point is, trust how you raised your kids and what influence you have on your grandkids. I didn't do anything special but something rubbed off. Hell, it wasn't my fault, it just happened, totally out of my control.

Bottom line, query them off line, find out where their real beliefs are but realize that wh**ever they are, you can't change them. Good luck. Mike

Tom? Yeah, it's history of who brought the s***es. 1844 the Democrats became the Democrats. The rest is history. I'm sick and tired of it all! Sick and tired of the division since 2008 and has become more intense as time reached 2016. Then the Democrats exploded into insanity. It's been that way now for 8 Mos. The v**ers need to slap a cease and desist to the Democrats and v**e them all out along with the Democrat leaning Republicans [rinos].

We see theDemocratic tree and we see the fruits fall everyday , we just need to read history to see them correctly. Evil will always be here. The poor, prostitutes, beggars, evil politicians. We can see poor and recognize it, we can see prostitutes and recognize it, we can see beggars and recognize that too. But, the problem comes in seeing the evil of politicians, you have politicians that have the oratory sk**ls to convince people, i.e. The ACA you can keep your insurance if you want to, keep your Dr. if you want to. Then, using those same sk**ls, say, the police acted stupidly; the language, of the subculture buzz word, for r****m. It continues today in the medias. Can there be a resolve? Only if the liberals and the rinos want it to happen. It's really difficult to admit you've been duped, especially when you consider yourself relatively intelligent. But that's what the Democrats have done, deceived.

Thanks for the reply. My wife and I taught our children to be self sufficient in all respects. I do not think my oldest daughter taught her kids the same way. Our grand daughter is into the "don't label boy's and girl's as such, be g****r neutral". That is one way to help us be on the way to becoming a country that is lost in the reason of why there are two sex's. That is what these liberals are setting us up for. A fall into the pitfalls of immorality. We do not have the same influence over our grand children a we would like. Our two grandchildren, by our oldest daughter, had a rough life as children. Since we were not around there were problems. Enough said, they have to realize they need to step up to the plate and try to be better role models.
