To all Texans

Whether you have family on the coast or you are on the coast, my prayers are with you. Harvey is to make landfall sometime real soon and I hope that you have moved to safety. Just know that I am worried for you and I will spend a considerable amount of time asking our Father to take care of you and your families. If Harvey becomes a level 3, you may have extensive damage so if you are heading in land, make sure you have copies of insurance policies. G*d's speed my friends and check in with us if you are able!

I thought Steve was moving to CA, but if he's going to TX instead, I understand your concern. Oh, you didn't mean Steve Harvey, you meant hurricane Harvey. My bad!

Seriously though, I echo your sentiments. Having endured one of these monsters myself, they ain't no joke. Take the threat very, very seriously and get the hell out of the way.

According to the radio a little while ago, Harvey is now Class 3. I join you in your prayers.

Pennylynn, We had Isabel coming ashore as a Cat.5 headed straight for the Va. Carolina coast. For mysterious reasons when it did make land fall it was just barely a Cat.1. Because we had had about a month of rain prior, it was weeks before power was restored to most areas. The number of trees down was amazing. Where I worked with the help of 140 FEMA crew it took us 2 1/2 months to reopen. My point is, even Cat.1 hurricanes are destructive as all get out. Those Texans and Louisianans need to skedaddle inland and not worry about or try to save property. Save yourselves, you'll have time to sort everything out later. Mike

My home is Virginia and I remember Isabel well.... That aside, after Harvey comes ashore our extended family..... and I consider all Americans family, will need help. I am sure that there will be "Go Fund Me" pages set up and the Red Cross will need blood. Right now, I hope family and friends are hunkering down because this thing is supposed to linger in the Gulf.

Hi Penny
Although he isn't living there yet
My son has just had his new home completed
It is in the direct path of the now Hurricane111
Asked him if he was worried and he said yeah, but his insurance would cover anything
His new house is just a mile and a half from the ocean and sits on a canal
I.m glad he hasn't moved in yet

He may lose his new home, but he is safe. Please pass on to him that we feel his pain and share his worry.

BB, Houston isn't that safe either. This thing is going to be close with a ton of rain. I hope you have some high ground. Be safe my friend. You and yours are going to be deluged with prayers as well as rain. Mike
