Road rage

What's the deal with all the road rage incidents? There have been i***t drivers since the invention of the automobile, so we ought to be adjusted to it by now, but for some folks - I guess not. Two cars have a collision, and it's always the other drivers fault. Criminals sue store owners for kicking their asses. Some moron spills hot coffee on themselves, and it's the facilities fault for not providing "how to handle hot coffee" seminars. See where I'm going with this?

It seems that for everything that happens, we search for who to blame, and argue about that endlessly. If there's a lesson to be learned from an incident, that's fine, learn it and move on, but we just can't do that. People are still arguing about who started the civil war! Does it really f&cking matter? A women claims she's been raped, a dude is arrested and charged with the rape, and so it's now up to the justice system to sort out, right? Nope, not entirely, the court of public opinion is now in order! There'll be people calling the woman a liar, a whore, she's just trying to get attention, she's getting back at him for f&cking someone else, you've all seen all the s**t that comes her way. Then there's the folks that want to hang the dude by his balls, and screw a trial, he done it and that's that! Then - the trial, and folks that don't know either of them will be debating the outcome of the trial forever.

Why do we protest s**t? What do we think is going to happen as a result? Do we really think that the folks in charge of wh**ever we're protesting about, are going to say "geez, those folks are upset, maybe we should change our minds"? Then we have folks protesting the folks protesting, showing up in towns they've never been to before, just to, what, get on TV? Besides, you don't show up for a peaceful protest wearing homemade r**t gear, you showed up to fight. To what end? If you beat up a few of the opposition, will that make everyone agree with you now? Come on now, do we really think saying " you will believe this here s**t I'm saying, or I'm gonna kick your ass" is going to change someone's mind?

We spend a lot of time, energy and even money, trying to change other folks minds and/or their behavior, and it's all a colossal waste of resources. We will NEVER change how or what someone thinks by yelling at them, threatening them, or beating the crap out of them, in fact, they'll just become that much more int***sigent, making a mockery of our efforts. So, why keep doing it? I'll tell you why............it makes us feel better. We're not really trying to save the world, we're just trying to feel useful, get some s**t off our chests, assuage some guilt, or we're just miserable sumb***hes and we want everyone to suffer.

Road rage is just one tiny symptom of a continent large problem, folks just won't act like we'd like them to, and we're by God going to do something about it! Tell me I'm wrong and I'll kick your ass. See how effective that was?

All a bunch of BS here. Road Rage? Punky boy stuff. Protesters? Liberal loony activity. I think personally, a good couple of thousand real American's should step up and start using their "Peace Bringers"....it brings a more serious end result and would put a real "damper" on future run ins and protests to such a degree, no one would have a desire to be out and about r**ting over the BS of the left....and the l*****t c****e agenda. And of course, how much FUN could it be to just mow down all these loons from the left or those pesky Muslims? Brrrrrrt Brrrrrrrt....."come get sum"......

Peace Bringer.....Anti Leftist and Muslim device!

It seems this is where a 'well maintained State M*****a' { 2ndAmend} would come into play.
Maintain peace and all 1st Amendment{ free speech} to be fulfilled.

The cops ' stood down' allowing this to happen. They did not uphold freedom of speech but promoted this disorderly conduct. IMO anyway

Doc, your post just further begs the question of what purpose is there in being on OPP, except to vent

Oh, I thought that question was asked and answered some time ago. We're not changing anyone's minds here, but we're having fun trying. There are no doubt different motivations involved, and I'm not trying to speak for anybody specifically, just some generic observations. There are those who feel powerful when they "trash" somebody, others may feel superior, others will trash someone because that's just their personality. Some feel a sense of obligation to bring e******y, an impartial, or unbiased viewpoint, only to provide fodder to the former for their amusement. There are no noble OR evil intentions here, at least, not any that are earth shattering. We each do what we do for our own reasons and it's no one else's business.

Of course, there are those who are here as paid operatives, while others are here for the kudos they know they can get. In other words, every motivation under the sun is probably represented on OPP. Anyone thinking they'll actually manage to "tone down" the vitriol of someone who's existence is vitriol, will be sadly disappointed. My own personal motivation is limited to having my say. I don't expect anyone to agree with me, and although it IS gratifying when it happens, it doesn't bother me when it doesn't. I don't often respond to the many h**eful comments I usually get, unless I'm in the mood to play, which in the end...........is all we're really doing.
