I see a lot of ignorance expressed in political comments on OPP and, if we are to manage it, it is important that we learn to differentiate among the kinds of ignorance . We will never be able to be free of ignorance until we understand and define it.

Ignorance. is the lack of knowledge, education, or awareness.

Culpable ignorance is the lack of knowledge or understanding that results from the omission of ordinary care to acquire such knowledge or understanding.

Vincible ignorance is ignorance that a person could remove by applying reasonable diligence.

One would be hard-pressed to argue with any of that which you write here.
