The power of Jesus
God is supernatural and can read our thoughts. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh and can read minds also. This block of instruction is covered in Matthew 17:24 - 27. We will focus on the 27th verse. An unexpected expense has come up. Jesus has Peter go fishing and tells him the first fish he catches will have a piece of money in it’s mouth to cover the expense. This presents us with two possibilities. Either God just made the money appear in the fishes mouth or God has a sailor on a boat in the sea of Galilee drop a coin in the water, and a fish swallow the coin and bite the hook. In either case, it is a power beyond recognition.
