To all the whiners on the left, and to the crybabies in
the L**T community, let me throw some reality into
your bowl of fruity pebbles...

Nobody has a "right" to serve in the Military. Nobody!!

What makes you people think the Military is an equal
opportunity employer? Very far from it.

The Military uses prejudice regularly and consistently to
deny citizens from joining for a variety of reasons, like
being too old or too young, too fat or too skinny, too tall
or too short.

Citizens are denied for having flat feet, or for missing fingers
or toes, poor eyesight will disqualify you, poor hearing,
undernourished, Drug addiction, metal implants, Criminal history,
Anxiety, Phobias, Hearing voices in your head, Self-identify as a
Unicorn, handicapped in anyway, Can't run the required distance
in the required time, Can't do the required number of push-ups or
sit-ups, have an eating disorder, or any kind of mental disorder,
have a below average IQ, can't read or comprehend English, can't
problem solve or make quick decisive decisions.

Are you not really a "morning person" and refuse to get out of bed
before noon? You're out!

You have a penis but want to use the women's restroom? You're out!

Don't like the camouf**ge uniforms because you'd rather wear pink?
You're out!

The Military has one job... Prepare for War against anybody who
threatens the safety and sovereignty of our nation! Anything else is
a distraction and a liability.

Did someone just scream "That isn't Fair"? War is VERY unfair.
There are no exceptions made for being special or challenged or
socially wonderful or different.

YOU change yourself to meet Military standards. Not the other way around.

I say again: You don't change the Military standards... you must change yourself.
The Military doesn't want to spent $250,000.00 on your s*x c****e operation, because you think you are in the wrong body. Stay in it and don't join.

The Military doesn't need to accommodate anyone with special needs or
emotional and mental issues. The Military needs to Win Wars.

If any of your personal issues are a liability that detract from readiness or lethally...

Then, thank you for applying and good luck in your future endeavors. Who's next in line?

While I agree with the remarks you posted I couldn't help thinking that we send the best and brightest into the meat grinder of combat, where if they are not k**led there is a strong likelihood they will be physically or mentally damaged beyond repair. We take these young men and women in their prime when ordinarily they would be seeking mates and founding families. After the war experience they will either not propagate or will lead distorted, blighted lives which adversely affect their famiies. It is not their fault, but ours who have allowed our politicians to do this without a clear danger to our naion.

We leave the degenerates, the physical defectives, the slothful and unsuitable behind to breed and propagate their a******lities. Then we wonder why we have a nation of whining babies, who need their nappys changed from birth through dotage. I know we cannot win wars with such dreck but I cannot do anything but regret that fine men and women are dying instead of some g****r confused twit. Perhaps we should consider mandatory sterilization for those who are unfit or barring that, cannon fodder battalions which would impede the enemy's progress with their bodies.

Jakebrake, If it is true that nobody has the right to serve in the armed forces, it is also true that no American can be refused to serve on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion or sexual preference.

This is almost correct. Military service is not a right..................it's an obligation. Every citizen must be willing to serve where, when and how needed, an obligation based on the fact that "free" does not mean " without cost ". Those who have refused to serve ( deferment, etc. ) have surrendered any right to comment on military matters - period. Cowards are most definitely excluded from military service.

Amen, Deacon.
I would add to that those who have not served have little business commenting on military matters. If you haven't walked the walk, don't try to talk the talk.
I am not disparaging those who have not chosen military service, just commenting that we have too many armchair quarterbacks.

So I guess, just knowing someone who served with honor, still doesn't qualify them to open their "Pie-Hole!"

There are thousands of GIs and veterans who agree with all points, but we can't win a war while someone who didn't belong in the first place, has a s*x c****e operation which is costing the army needed materiel to fight that war. There have always been reasons for people to be 4F, remember that? We cannot have a bunch of q***rs and lesbians joining our military to receive a s*x c****e operation at our expense and by the time that's done, their enlistment is up and they're out on the street again to sue some baker or florist.

True, it is an all volunteer service now but the military has always been selective. I served with a few young men who were given the choice of enlisting or be given a jail sentence. They made crappy soldiers and would have been rejected because of their criminal records. Those judges simply passed their community's problems to the military.

To be RA (Regular Army Enlistee) instead of US (Army of the United States - draftee) was a matter of derision from what we referred to as draft dodgers. They castigated us for being stupid losers, who asked for the daily ration of crap the military dishes out. We in turn referred to them as morons, who couldn't get good enough grades to stay in school or weren't smart or qualified enough, to get a draft deferred job. That problem does not exist in todays forces just as it didn't in the other military branches.

There is a Science fiction novel called Starship Troopers written by Robert Heinlein in 1959 in which he discusses philosophical and moral issues, including aspects of suffrage, civic virtue, juvenile delinquency, and war.

Starship Troopers also critiques U.S. society of the 1950s, argues that a lack of discipline had led to a moral decline, and advocates corporal and capital punishment for civil infractions just as the Singaporeans do with their caning for littering offenses. It certainly would go a long way to curbing violent civil disobedience.

The most interesting aspect of this novel was the intentional glorification of the military. The ideology of militarism and the fact that only military veterans had the right to v**e or to teach civics and history courses in schools at all levels, in the novel's fictional society led to it being frequently described as f*****t. However the idea of limiting the right to v**e of those, who have no skin in the game, has an attraction that is hard to deny.

As an afterthought, in nature the predator always surveys the herd animals to find the weak, the lame or the old. These are the animals least able to cope and by their becoming victims, they remove themselves from the gene pool, thus improving the herds genetic inheritance. Similarly among the predators, those who can't hunt die, thus leaving propagation to those more fit.

We on the other hand send our best to the slaughter. So what would you say are the consequences of such selective breeding for incompetence?

No where. I didn't say that. I was commenting on your statement that included sexual orientation or something like that. And that point was not included in my statement. If sexual orientation gets in the way of the overall military objective, then they can be excluded. The military objective supersedes any social engineering. Period.
