I think it is much more than just a raid. If nothing else, the lesson learned from investigating k**lary, people can and do strange things to CYA.
So, instead of waiting for the contents of files to be turned over they went in and took them. No bleaching of systems or lost mail.
This may or may not yield a wealth of evidence, or the contents may just turn out to be general business and nothing incriminating.
If the investigators are honest, then we will know sooner or later.

Now if President Trump's people were smart, they would have mirrored or cloned the hard drive. The copied/cloned drive could then be cleaned up, filling in gaps and so on. Next they would have reformatted their main hard drives, bleaching it three or four times. And then they would have reinstalled the copied/cloned and sanitized disk, saving the other copy in a safe place. Cloned disks, hard drive, are not new, government has been doing this from the time of Carter. This would pretty much eliminate anything they would not want released. Sure small bits would remain, but not enough for a complete document. The only way to know if they cloned their drives will be how clean the information is they confiscated from Mr. Manafort.

I think Mueller's dug-up of this Manafort's business activities has nothing to do with president Trump's Russian collusion.
For a short period of time Manafort was hired to manage campaign of candidate DJT, then he was replaced shortly. President Trump has nothing to do with his activities in the past. But the left gravitate to destroy the president, to rid of him by all means.

Mueller's relentless harassments and destructions against the president hoping to prevent him from doing his job for the American people, thus fails of peoples' expectations.
