Mark chapter 3


Verse 1 - 6

They have decided healing on the Sabbath is a sin, and if Jesus heals then He is a sinner. If Jesus had sin of His own He couldn’t have died for ours. At this time, no one in the Sanhedrin could heal.

Verse 7 - 10

His fane is spreading to other countries. He is going to select twelve disciples to continue His work after His death. Those that follow Christ are a benefit to those around them.

Verse 11 & 12

The demons know Christ and tremble.

Verse 13 - 19

Only three disciples helped write books in the bible, they are Peter, John, and Matthew. Maybe this is why their callings are mentioned in three gospels. The bible contains a discrepancy in the names of one of the twelve. Matthew and Mark list Thaddeus. Luke includes another Judas. John writes a question by Judas in John 14:22, and he points out that his last name is not Iscariot. We all should be disciples of Christ. This nation might survive if it did .

Verse 20 & 21

There is always trouble in large crowds. Jesus says where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst.


Verse 22 - 27

The scribes ruled with an iron hand. They were cruel and oppressive and had no compassion. Accusing Jesus of healing through satan was really grasping at straws. This nation should listen to Jesus words. If we don’t stand together we will fall apart. After most elections this country unites behind whoever wins the election. Now there are people stopping traffic because a criminal didn’t fool enough American people into voting for her. A supporter of Sanders actually shot republicans practicing for a softball game against democrats. Yet republicans are accused of inciting violence. The hippie revolution of the ‘60’s has been a failure.

Verse 28 - 30

The Holy Spirit had not been sent yet. Worshipping satan as Jesus may be unforgivable.

Verse 31 - 35

Your worship means nothing without obedience.
