I hope President Trump follows through on this and make Congress and their subordinates live under the same laws they create and pass for the rest of us.

I am all for that. Elected officials should never be placed above anyone else ever.

That would certainly be a step in the right direction in repealing the disaster obamacare, but there are many other laws they have enacted that they are not subject to. My belief is, any legislation they propose and v**e into law, they should be subject to as well, and it should be retroactive.

Then even McCain, Pelosi and Schmuer might v**e for repeal.

I'm not too sure about McCain, considering the old demented fool's abject hatred of Trump.

I think it's the 28 amendment,congress can't pass a law that doesn't include them.They did it anyway.

Exactly, those congress critters find a way around exempting themselves from many of the onerous legislation they pass. This is pathetic governing and should be stopped. Term limits and holding these people accountable is the only solution.

Although the 535 members of the House and Senate and their 13,000 staffers are NOT exempt fro the ACA they are heavily subsidized.

So Trump saying he is going to "make Congress and their subordinates live under the same laws they create and pass for the rest of us." is bulls**t or shows Trump doesn't have a clue as to what he is threatening. What is clear is that if the AHCA (American Health CARE Act) or BACHA is passed Congress WILL expempt themselves and their staffers from the s**tty law that gives tax breaks to their rich buddies and further enables private, for profit health INSURANCE corporations to dictate US health INSURANCE (not health CARE) policy and continue to RAPE the middle class and working poor.

"However, the ACA required members of Congress and congressional staff members to obtain their health insurance through ACA exchanges.

After debates, a final rule allowed Congress and Congressional staff purchase their insurance through the District of Columbia’s small business health options program (SHOP) exchange.

This doesn’t mean they get free healthcare or anything, instead the federal government provides a subsidy equivalent to 72% of the weighted average of all FEHBP premiums (or75% of the cost of the chosen plan, whichever is less; up to about $12,000).

Private employers on average pay more than 80% of the cost of health benefits.

In other words, Congress and their staffers are “on ObamaCare” and “use the exchanges” and they don’t get free healthcare, but the details are complex."

When Obama directed OPM to consider each separate office from each politician to be a small business therefore qualified for subsidy, I believe law was broken and I'm surprised no one has challenged it.

Each federal employee ultimately is paid by and therefore works for the federal government.

To declare each office as a stand alone business is akin to allowing big businesses to declare each high rise office to be a stand alone small business and qualify them accordingly.

They should have all been on exactly what they put out for the Nation .. Nor should they have been given increases in their salary to offset their premium..What a ruse that was from the illustrious bo, as if he thought we wouldn't catch that bit of news...

If Trump can order it even by EO then he should!!

They have nothing that will ever correct this horrific screw up and over the people! I hope as they find out insurance premiums will be unaffordable they remember what that POS gave everyone else!

They own this mess and I personally hope every one of them pay dearly for it!!

Insurance rates can not even be quoted right now because companies are salivating over what they will now do before any other " plan by government dictation" comes....

Repeal and set limits for Insurance carriers to have to abide by is about all this administration can do short of issuing an apology to the people and saying your on your own that is.. <sarcasm mode off>..

They didn't challenge it because it benefited them..

Your analogy is true in skirting the real facts and setting illegal maneuvering before our very eyes..

We should have been screaming bloody murder too yet we did not because not enough people knew what he did..

It was a s**m from the onset done with intent to eventually force the single payer plan the Dems have now miraculously found as the savings grace for all of us, righhhhhhttttt..

It a dang thing surprising in that, is there!! If that's what they offer up to us I hope we're smarter this time and make sure that is what they get too!! No favoritism to these criminals..

I understand that they they didn't challenge it.because it benefited them, but we didn't hear a word from anyone. I find it difficult to swallow that not one politician, including people like Sessions and Gowdy remained silent and not one of thousands of staffers spoke up.

I know there are much larger issues on the plate but this unified silence refusing to expose an action that all parties concerned are openly against, (meaning they all espouse being for the little guy) spotlights the willingness of every federal D. C. employee to gouge the public at every opportunity. And that boils me big time.

Didn't someone once say "show me 10 righteous among them and I'll spare them all"?

It's time to replace every last one there. Bar none.
