"It's a free Country"
I remember as a kid, no matter how silly or asnine people's comments or actions were, as long as it was within the confines of our laws people still had a right to do so, if you didn't agree, you might shake your head, laugh a bit to yourself and say "Hey it's a free country"
For an expression that was used so frequently in our youth, when was the last time any of you have heard someone say "it's a free country"?
Far too long ago. Forty years at least. The concept of freedom somehow got replaced with legal as in what kind of legal trouble will I get for doing or saying this.
