The bottom line for Christians is how they treat the least. End of story. This is not merely first and foremost, it is only. Revelation, and elsewhere, says salvation is based on how we care for the least of these. Not optional or a disputable matter. Care for the least if these...or be damned.

How? "Turn, and become as little children." Or raise to be CEO of some blue stock company. Very close in feeling. One lasts forever and the other doesn't.

Actually Rumitoid you’re not quite there...

Matthew 22:34-40
But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they met together to question him again. One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question: “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

Therefore, as you say, “Care for the least if these...or be damned” would be included in the second one.

But be careful, salvation is not claimed through good works alone. To gain salvation you must also:

1) Admit you are a sinner – Romans 3:23 For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
2) Understand that as a sinner, you will die – Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
3) Believe that Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead to save you from sin and death – Romans 10:9-11; 13 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”…For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
4) Receive, in faith through Jesus, his free gift of salvation – Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
5) Repent by turning from your old life of sin to a new life in Jesus.
