It didn't take long after president Trump brought out his ideas on immigration reform before the Dems and Rinos cried foul.

I am s**k of both parties as I feel we need people to speak English. My father came here from Lebanon and learned English in school as a child before coming here. His father was an eyeglass maker or as you call it an optometrist who became a citizen.

I believe no one should get a green card if they can't speak English. Getting a green card means you are capable of working and supporting yourself. How can you work if you have no sk**ls or cannot speak English. I have seen this throughout the country where the workers speak only another language and there foremen tell them in Mostly Spanish what to do.

Why are they here. Is it because the wealthy can hire them at cheap wages. Whether they are Republicans or Democrats. When will we learn that these people are parasites.

Why don't they learn that their children are capable of doing work and that giving them everything does not help in their growth. Not every one of them will be lawyers etc. in a lot of cities, children are not even allowed to sell lemonade or homemade cookies. This is a shame.

I agree with you.. My family came here from Russia... We all had to learn English. You have to... IF YOU Live IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY YOU HAVE TO SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE otherwise why you you come to this country???

The biggest deal. European immigrants overwhelmingly proud of their heritage not only wanted the American dream they wanted to become Americans. Where as today we have a bunch of non-English speaking people enticed to come here for handouts. Many not only want their religion recognized they want it to be the only legitimate religion.

And i dont agree with the premise that you need to have i*****l i*******ts to do low wages jobs... There are a lot of American citizens that would do any job to bring home money. And i also think that i*****l i*******ts should be pissed of that the only reason we want them because they would do low wages job.

Well, don't know if they were legal or not but the two that just painted my house couldn't speak English. I dealt with their American English speaking foreman.

I meet people every day who have been here more than 25 years and still don't speak anything but Spanish, as if they wouldn't lower themselves to speak it. Seriously, it's as if its a holy language.

I know others who know their native language and learned english; speaking english outside the home and their native language inside. Of course, they are all asian. Figures. It seems that Asians want to do both, assimilate and retain their roots. That works for me!

If I went to live in Mexico, I'd be fluent in a year. That's a fact!

The other day I calld a credit card company because of a question I had. The operator was so heavily accented I couldn't under stand her. I did understand when she said sir is there a problem? I told her to press 1 for English. She hung up.

I h**e to ask, but did the painter have a license for painting? In our state one must have to have a license if the project is over $600.00. I for one will not hire anyone that is not licensed for a project over that amount and will look for one the speaks English for any job.
