'Don't put that guy in front of the cameras again': Fox News host unloads on Stephen Miller after altercation with CNN reporter.
Mark Abadi, Business Insider
Fox News commentator Eric Bolling harshly criticized White House adviser Stephen Miller for his altercation with a CNN reporter at Wednesday's press briefing.
"Listen, he’s a brilliant guy, he’s a great policy adviser," Bolling said on "The Fox News Specialists."
"He is not a communications person. Don't put that guy in front of the cameras again."
At the briefing, Acosta questioned whether the White House's new immigration policy, unveiled earlier on Wednesday, was "trying to change what it means to be an immigrant" by favoring immigrants who spoke English and had higher levels of education and job sk**ls. In his question, Acosta cited an inscription on the Statue of Liberty that reads "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free."
Miller fired back at Acosta, launching into a testy back-and-forth that lasted several minutes.
"I don’t want to get off into a whole thing about history here, but the Statue of Liberty is a symbol of liberty and lighting in the world, it’s a symbol of American liberty lighting the world," Miller said. "The poem that you’re referring to was added later. It's not actually part of the Statue of Liberty."
Miller also aggressively challenged Acosta when the reporter asked if the White House policy would restrict immigration to those from English-speaking places such as Great Britain and Australia.
"Jim, I am shocked at your statement that you think that only people from Great Britain and Australia would know English," Miller said. "It reveals your cosmopolitan bias to a shocking degree."
For Bolling, Miller's spat was a distraction from an immigration policy he praised as "really, really important for the country."
"The message gets stepped on because everyone is going to play that interchange with Acosta instead of talking about how great this immigration policy is," Bolling said.
"They really have to fix their communications department."
Another Fox News host, Tucker Carlson, went after Acosta, calling him "the drunk guy at the party who won't stop talking."
It wasn't Acosta's first tussle with the White House. In January, during Donald Trump's first press conference as president-elect, Trump cut off Acosta as the reporter attempted to ask a question about Russia, admonishing him as "f**e news."
It also wasn't Miller's only controversial outing in front of the cameras. The adviser alarmed constitutional experts in February when, during a defense of Trump's travel ban, said, "Our opponents, the media and the whole world will soon see as we begin to take further actions, that the powers of the president to protect our country are very substantial and will not be questioned."
seems like he is "JUST" they guy you want,,,, instead of Acosta,,,,

I think the writer and Bolling are both out to lunch on this one. I saw Miller's comeback as a shining moment for the White House and another in a long series of humiliations for CNN. Acosta really should think about another career.

Come on Slatten, the reporter had an angle and got headed off at the pass.
He wanted to get churppy, and got his ass handed to him.
Stop.
Amazing how no matter how much something makes sense, they left wants to cry r****m, or bias at every moment.
Tell me, what are the requirements of obtaining a green card?
When you knsow this, you'll find it's not too far off base.
Also as far as Russia, for as much time as it has dominated Corporate Media, what has actually come of it?
Speculation
Unnamed sources
Hear say
Yet still NO actual PROOF of any wrong doing.

They all just take they're orders from above.
There's nothing free about a press that only exists for ratings.

Come on, Waker, I had nothing to do with either Miller's exchange with Acosta, nor with the comments in the article. As with many of my thread posts, they are put up for discussion, and don't always necessarily align with my way of thinking. But, quite frankly, both Bolling and Carlson clearly defended Miller, short of calling him a PR disaster and a poor front man for WH communications. Anyone who saw the exchange between Miller and Acosta would have a hard time disagreeing with that, absent bias.
Along with many (if not most), I await SP Mueller's final report as to whether all falls into the three above categories: 'unnamed sources,'
'hear say,' and 'speculation.' Time, hopefully, will tell. Unfortunately, wh**ever Mueller's findings, one side or the other will be unhappy in their p*issing and moaning about them.

So you believe Acostas questioning and constant interruptions we're founded?
No alternative agendas, just normal Q and A.
Also, many people were happy to see the F**e News reporter put in his place, I know I for one was laughing my ass off.
Yes we will have to wait and see, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Much like the Comey memo, the people are once again being played.

I thought the whole thing was hilarious.............including the goofy policy. Think about it ( which few will bother to do ) in order to protect American workers and their jobs...........we'll only import workers who are better educated and more sk**led.

It is a bit of a catch 22.
Perhaps he means better educated than a berry picker that can't even explain to you where they left they're bucket.
We need sk**led labor, not more on welfare recipients like we see from Mexifornia immigrants.
More people to pay into pentions, pay taxes, and have a will to succeed, would benefit American workers.

Yep, that's why farmers are screaming for help and crops are rotting in the field.......American workers aren't sk**led enough to pick melons.
Perhaps we need to invest more heavily in 4H clubs.
What we need most of all, are workers trained to do the jobs that are available, not try to create jobs for those trained to do something else. At one time, the "dream job" for an American worker, was one where you could work until retiring and draw a pension. Now, there's ZERO job security and too many companies syphon off pension funds then go bankrupt...........ask Romney how that works, he got rich doing it.

Not a fan Romney.
Did he do something illegal?
So what your really saying is Americans are too lazy to work, and the only answer is allowing undocumented workers to pick melons for them.
So we save a dollar on melons, and spend millions in taxes to support they're families.
Good idea.
Get rid of welfare and I'm sure farmers will be able to get they're melons picked.
Also, what exactly did the previous Administration do to stop the pilphering of pensions?
Not to mention the States and townships like in Illinios, Pennsylvania, and California that they're elected Democrat leaders spent the pensions of theyre hard working people, while wasting money on socialized programs for people who don't even try to do they're part in society.
If you ever get bored, take a drive to Chester Pennsylvania, you ll figure it out pretty quick.

The problem with Miller is that he looks and talks like a N**i. He's fine if he's going to be talking to conservatives but the rest of the country he just doesn't cut it.
