My Granddaughter's team, The University of Texas LadyHorn's softball team, opening their season last night with a win over LSU, 6-1! It was a very cold night on the field, but the LadyHorns were hot with their bats. I was not able to be at the game, played in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Her parents and sisters were there, however, and kept me posted. I will continue to post the results of their games, throughout the season. Tolerate me.
Here's hoping the season will culminate with another trip to the College World Series, in May!
GO, LADYHORNS! 8-)

They are an excellent team, Vernon. Another day, another game, could be different.
Good luck to your 'LadyTigers', also!

My Lady...You might want to inform AuntiE of your great admiration for our school colors of burn't-orange and white. She is enamored of them, herself!
She will appreciate it.
Lauren started her first official college game ever today. She pitched against the North Carolina Tarheels, in Lafayette, Louisiana, early this afternoon. Our LadyHorns won, 7-3. First college win under her belt. Gave up only 3 hits, 2 were HR's. So proud!!!
GO, BURN'T ORANGE & WHITE...LADYHORNS!
The team plays Louisiana-Lafayette this evening.

 That's what my son said, too, Vernon. By any chance, are you in Lafayette, watching the tournament?
May I ask what part of Louisiana do you reside? Our team will be in Lafayette 'thru Sunday, I believe. 8-)

I have decided on two appropriate Texas Universities based upon GOOD color choices. I am going to go with the purple/white and the second would be burgundy/white. on their choices! :!:

Go Lauren. You need to perform well to overcome the horror of the colors you are forced to wear.

Well, there are several with those colors, but the two major schools with those colors are: TCU, purple and white; and, Texas A&M, with burgundy and white. The others with those colors are smaller colleges/universities.
None can compare with the beauty/elegance of burn't orange and white! ;)

The 'horror' would be seen in the eyes of the opponents, upon our taking the field!
