GOP Amnesty could be the death of the republican party. With 92 million people out of the work force the liberals are salivating over legalizing millions in new democrat v**ers, not new workers. Political Cartoon by A.F.Branco.

I couldn't agree more. The leadership and some members of the GOP are out to destroy the GOP. They are no better then the progressives that are pushing for this very thing.

I wonder how many establishment GOP leaders are just like the elephant in the cartoon. I fear it is many more than any of us want to believe. They must be removed, some way.

Wh**ever is decided on the amnesty issue, the Democrats will win. Either way they will get a lot of new v**ers. If amnesty is defeated they will increase their already large share of the existing U.S. Hispanic v**e (except for the Cubans), who will perceive the Republican v**e as Hispanic bashing.

Obviously the Republicans weren't too good at math when they worked out the Hispanic v**e trade with the Democrats. The Democrats get the sizable v**e of those who came from Mexico and Central America. The Republicans get the, small in number, permanently pissed off v**ers from Cuba.

Since the Dems win no matter what is there a reason the establishment Republican RINOs should push the GOP to v**e for the Dems? Why don't you explain that to me?

Its not really the place of a Democrat to try to explain one group of Republicans to another group of Republicans. You will just have to do your own research on this one. If the Republicans want to form a circular firing squad, the only task of the Democrats is to stay out of the way. We've seen this movie before in 1964 when the Goldwater conservatives purged the party of moderate Rockefeller Republicans. The Republicans went on to one of the biggest defeats in their history in November.

Deja vu could be kind of fun.

Are you a praying man? If so, I think you better get started because November will get here long before Obamacare is righted enough for what you suggest.

What is the connection between the GOP amnesty conflict and the ACA? What do GOP circular firing squads have to do with health care flaws?

If you don't know that many Democrats are staying away on e******n day because of ACA, as you call Obamacare, then you are in for a real surprise.

Like they stayed away in the recent state e******n in Virginia? In spite of all the ACA problems the Democrats succeeded in defeating the Republicans and taking back the governor's mansion. The Republicans have been in denial for a very long time about changing American demographics. This is how political parties go out of business.

Will you still be talking that line when Obamacare ruins the party you think is going to win because of Obamacare instead of lose because of it? I think not but who knows?

Most Democrats I know do not like the ACA. They view it as a failed hybrid partnership between the federal govt. and private insurance companies. What most liberals want is single payor--Medicare for all, kind of like what all the other industrialized western democracies have. Their dissatisfaction will not cause them to become Republicans or stay away from e******ns. Exhibit A is the recent Virginia statewide e******n. The Democrats were quite pleased with the results.
