I just read a new item about Catholics rallying in protest over the erection of a Satanic monument. Why only Catholics? All Christians should be up in arms. Historic monuments must come down, but that can go up. Have we all gone insane? Speaking of historic monuments, why has no one demanded the removal of that tasteless humongous hideous statue of Martin Luther King. Surely not everyone agrees with that. The few are ruining this country and I thought we had majority rule. You know when we'll have majority rule?

I haven't seen the article but it is possible that the author, for wh**ever reason, focused only on the Catholic reaction. Not including other Christians in the article in no way indicates their lack of concern.

Satanism is being popularized nowadays. I think the whole point is that if Christians can erect religious monuments on public property than others can do the same. And no, we are a republic that abides by a constitution so there is no such thing as majority rule. Religious freedom isn't confined solely to Christian Conservatives but to all religions. If that includes erecting a Christian monument then don't be surprised if other, less appreciated, monuments soon follow...

But why would you legitimize an ideology which stands unapologetically for evil and represents and legitimizes evil --- either Satanism or Islam , who without most of its adherence even knowing it, it's is most obviously worshiping Satan and doing his bidding. Why would you classify Islam as a religion when it is every bit as much of a political system that is a subversive, s*********t ideology that is totally incompatible with democracy and our Constitution. Don't you know that you cannot separate political Islam from religious Islam? In fact, it is the second half of Mohammed's career where Islam became more political than religious, and where the peaceful stuff became obsolete by the later contradicting violent passages. I have a question for you Peter: "Why does calling Satanism and Islam religions and giving them equal standing and privileges to normal noble peaceful religions, Not seem totally stupid and suicidal to you ?????? I didn't legitimize anything, the constitution did. We have freedom of religion in this country and that applies to everyone. If it's ruled that a Christian's have a right to put up a monument then don't be surprised when others follow suit. If you are afraid of subversive and dangerous theologies then don't don't open the door by building monuments where others can then mimic what you've done.

And stop pointing your finger at me. If you don't like what our constitution allows then work to have it changed. But until you do that all religions can do as they please...

I said Satanism and Islam should be reclassified. Nothing that sanctions, supports or advises evil should be classified as a religion. And if the definition of a religion does not include indicators of whether it is good or evil, then the definition of religion should be changed too Because you can't have to such different and opposite ideas described by the same definition as if they were not opposites. Do you not agree???

We agree in large part.

Local governments are free to express themselves with monuments and such crap.

Satanic symbolism has been around since America's inception.

Just because people call themselves Christian doesn't make it so. America has never been a Christian nation. The reason the world recognizes the Jews as Israel is because it held to the Sabbath. To a lesser degree the tribes of Levi and Benjamin. The other tribes lost their identity when they rejected GOD's law and Sabbath. America is one of those lost tribes. People who reject GOD'S law and Sabbath are not Christians. To your point, accepting idol worship ;which breaks the second and third commandments, is perfectly fine for people who profess to be Christians but are not.

Agreed!! If people choose either, let them!! I think its God's job to call each of those to Himself, so we should not be troubled or anxious. That said, in my opinion it's playing with fire to classify evil and do what they're doing!
