Yes... I am at my end, filled up and not feeling very charitable. Are you a Mom? Then you may understand. I had a kid in my house who spread "buggers" on the walls..... how do I get these off without scrubbing for hours?? .... okay, I guess there is a bright side... at least he was not eating them.

Suggestions? I have tried; saline solution, hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, washing soda, warm water, and toilet paper soaked in water, lemon juice, vinegar.... Boggie wipes, baby wipes.... NONE OF THEM WORKED.

Thank you, I will give that a try. A neighbor said to paint over them..... but, ygh! I would know they are there and somehow that just seems dirty.
I wish I had caught this sweet "lamb" in the act!

I would say there is something going on in that house that the kid interprets as being unjust or unfairmaking him resent you. You might try figuring out what that is and correcting that first. The other thing is, forget the chemicals. Just give it plenty of soaking time and they will wipe away with ease. (That's just a little common sense, so stop being so impatient --- with the kid too and start teaching him self-control rather than providing him with unearned self-esteem that will just turn them into a monster)

Also for fingerprints, scuff marks, etc. on the wall a little scouring powder on a wet rag or sponge will take it off quickly. But if you scrub too hard and too much, you'll take the pain talk too. Also for cars, when you get paint from a post or someone else's vehicle scratched on to your car, Comet or Ajax works magnificently

Another stupid answer from the liberal world of opposite land. If you're going to do it dry (which is thoroughly stupid) use a razor scraper if you can keep from digging into what it's on.

All things you want to wash away are either protein-based or petroleum-based. Protein-based is removed with soap and detergents. Stubborn petroleum-based stains or products are only removed completely and effectively by petroleum based products that act as a solvent such as Goo Gone which won't work well on dried boogers. Soaking with water for 10 or 30 minutes without any soap is all that is necessary to easily wipe away buggers.

I'll bet you don't know how to get bubblegum out of a kids hair -- ??? --- Peanut butter.

Let's see if she thanks you now. She didn't thank me for giving her the correct answer, but thanked the last fool with another wrong answer.

Thank you so much. So, I have experimented and this is what actually works. Warm Saline solution with a drop of dish washing soap (I used Dawn). I soaked some tissues (TP) and put a wad on the bugger. After an hour, I took down the "spit wad" that was on the "bugger" and no harm to the paint and not too much scrubbing and the buggers are gone. Yes, the wall looks strange and it will take me hours to clean up the wall, but at least it works and I am feel much better now. BTW, the child who redecorated my wall was a visitor and I can not think of anything I did to offend him, but your advice was well taken. Maybe aging has dulled my memories, but I do not recall any of my children doing this.

Archie.... that was going to be my last ditch effort to have the wall sandpapered (or replace the drywall) and repaint. But, I think I found a solution that works. Steve gave me some very helpful information along with others.... trying different things.... who would suspect, spit wads on the buggers. They rehydrate and .... gone. I think I will wind up repainting the room, only because I know where the buggers were hung.

I'm glad someone was able to provide a solution! See? OPP can be a very informative place! That is a problem that I have yet to encounter, but now I know!
