Grand daughter's ailment

I have hesitated posting this sort of thing but with all the info and help offered on the I h**e Wal-Mart thread, I thought, why not.

I have a grand daughter age 18 who has had for sometime the reduced ability to pass food through her alimentary canal.
it is more than constipation since it appears much of the gut is affected not just the colon.
She has been to Mayo in Rochester, Froedert in Milwaukee as well as all the local hospitals around the area.
I am having a rough time believing that no one knows what to do. She has gotten no help from any of them.
She suffers intestinal pain much of the time. She eats sensibly with leaning heavily on salads and the like.

Has anyone ever heard of this sort of problem and if so, what was done?
Thanks for taking time to read and let's hope someone has a solution.

It could be Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Also, has she tried a probiotic?

No clue my friend. I said a small prayer.

I suggest she keep a chart on her food and fluid intake as well as a description of her bowel movements and urine discharge.

Have you looked into holistic and herbology treatments? There are licensed herbologists, but I don't think that's what they're called.

Good luck...

Until something breaks from her MD's.
Fiber fiber and more fiber . Lot's of liquids until something breaks from her Dr.'s at the least
but it's not a bad Idea stay with this . Two table spoons of Braggs Apple cider Vinegar Twice daily in
drink of choice. It steadies the PH Balance thus calming the gut and aids in digestion.
Stay as natural as you can with digestive aids. I.E. foods and liquids. Lots and lots of liquids .

P.S. Salads are not the easiest to digest . Look for something easier for bulk and that helps digestion .
Broccoli , Asparagus , Okra etc. etc. Easy peazy . Just throw all fresh into a steamer for ten-thirteen
minutes . Stay away from over the counter med's if you can . When the Dr's. afix treatments continue
on with their advice .

Best to you and yours .

In my younger days, before I learned how my body processes food, I had issues. Then I started keeping a food diary and noting the foods that caused me problems. I found that my digestive track is slow and some foods took forever to process. In fact, I had terrible cramps because some foods fermented before it could pass. With some changes, my problems went away.
I am not saying that the changes I made for myself will work for everyone, but for years I have had zero issues. These are the changed:

What I eliminated:

1. Prepackaged Foods. Otherwise known as convenience foods
2. Sugar (k**ls the good bacteria living in the gut)
3. Soy products which is included in most prepackaged foods and slows digestion
4. Vegetable oils
5. F**e butter
6. Store bought breads and muffins
7. Cereal
8. Most cheeses
9. Imitation sugar
10. GMO...
11. Popcorn
12. Store bought juice and soda pop

What I added

1. Fat. Olive oil, walnut oil, avocado oil, coconut oil. I use these for cooking and on salads and coconut oil to my breakfast coffee. In fact I have tripled my oil intake. Results have been amazing for my hair, fingernails, skin and intestines. Also, my bad cholesterol has gone way down, a 40 percent reduction.
2. Mineral water, at least 18 ounces a day, in between the 96 ounces of regular water.
3. Nuts and seeds. Pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds along with every kind of true nuts (does NOT include peanuts which is not a nut). At least two helpings a day to provide the Omega fatty acids.
4. Green banana (not ripe or yellow) once a week. The banana in the green stage is not broken down in the stomach so it goes to the intestine and "feeds" the micro organisms in the gut.
5. Stevia and B****strap Molasses
6. Fruits.... this replaced vegetables that grow underground. However, once a month I boil either plain potato and then refrigerate it overnight before I eat them or sweet potato again refrigerated overnight. The refrigeration changes the structure of the potato and allows easier digestion and feeding of the micro organisms in the gut. (The potatoes can be reheated and served anyway you would have the first day).
7. Yakoon syrup... it is almost entirely fiber.
8. Green tea... I drink it hot and iced

These changes worked for me, they may not work for someone else or may cause you to have diarrhea. If I were you, I would eliminate one thing at a time and introduce items that are not currently in your diet slowly making sure of how your body responds before introducing the next.

Beings it's as you indicate, more than constipation, I'm uncertain that my remedy for constipation will be of benefit. While the suggestions offered here, changing diet etc. seem reasonable, I haven't read where anyone has suggested prune juice. Prune juice is my go-to remedy when things get really plugged up and I'm suffering stomach cramps. Perhaps a class per day could help, and at this point what is there to lose by trying it? I hope and pray a remedy is found soon, for your sake as well as your granddaughters. It's a heavy weight on one's heart when a grandchild is suffering. God Bless.

Excellent recommendation! That would take care of the symptom fairly quickly. I was thinking in the long run, how to prevent the problem starting.
I did not think about the immediate relief! Also prune juice should not affect her overall digestion or bother her blood sugar.
Thank you so much!

Good morning sir I think I remember an article from the author of survivopidiaor something like that anyway his son had very similar problems and they took A vacation to Lancaster Pennsylvania and met good people there. They got him on a diet of some of the fermented foods any natural diet that got this kid healthier than probably most of us. This probably safe to say that they cannot ship their foods out of their townships. You may have to visit. Google up info and I wish you the best of luck and will be praying. This is Texas t***h signing out ...
