At Least 3,800 Civilians K**led By Us-Coalition Attacks In Iraq, Syria Since 2014
http://republicbroadcasting.org/news/at-least-3800-civilians-k**led-by-us-coalition-attacks-in-iraq-syria-since-2014/

With its latest official declaration estimating the number of innocent people k**led by airstrikes in Iraq and Syria, the U.S. military has admitted k*****g 484 civilians since beginning a bombing campaign and ground operations to unseat the Islamic State (ISIS) from strongholds in the two countries.

Though that number is far lower than estimates put forth by independent monitoring groups, the death toll reveals rising casualty levels as the U.S.-led coalition has reportedly loosened restrictions and engagement protocols under President Donald Trump.

“With the vast majority of strikes hitting territory under [ISIS] control,” the Independent notes, “the true number of casualties and the victims’ identities are difficult to verify.” But according to Airwars, a UK-based watchdog group which monitors the conflict for civilian deaths, at least 3,800 civilians have been k**led by coalition attacks since 2014, with the rate of deaths rising since January of this year.....

“Rarely a day goes by now when we don’t see three or four civilian casualty incidents attributed to coalition airstrikes around Raqqa,” Airwars director Chris Woods told The Intercept. “All of the local monitoring groups are now reporting that the coalition is k*****g more civilians than Russia on a regular basis.”

And when Woods refers to the coalition in Syria, he is largely referring to the United States. Based on announcements from U.S. Central Command, Airwars estimates that the overwhelming majority of coalition strikes have come from U.S. warplanes.

But in contrast to Iraq, where the coalition is providing air support for local forces fighting to retake the city of Mosul, there has been little public attention paid to the air campaign in Syria. “We have been k*****g a lot of civilians in and around Raqqa for quite some time now, yet these incidents are rarely admitted by the coalition and there is almost no interest from international media,” Woods says. “We have to question where the empathy is for the local population.

This is what happens when wars go on for 16 years, when there are multiple simultaneous wars, and when there is such incredible competition for people's attention. News becomes stale in 15 minutes in today's 24/7 news cycle, and when global "stuff" vies for folks attention. Besides , people don't want to be informed, they want to be entertained, and a daily death toll count is just too boring to bother with.

Now, if we returned to the mid 20th century method of carpet bombing, where wholesale destruction and death is dealt in a matter of minutes, THAT would be news worthy for days, but then when all the cities have been reduced to rubble and the inhabitants slaughtered, a new sensation would need to be developed. We have been so overwhelmed with death and violence, in our "entertainment", our "games", our "politics" and our "news" - that we are completely numb to it. We don't see these deaths as real human casualties.

Instead of carpet bombing to mete out death in massive strikes - we mete out the same destruction in bits and pieces - or, we blow up empty airfields in time for the cable news cycle.

People get k**led in war. Did you bother looking at how many have been k**led by the Assad regime? When you do don't forget to count the ones k**led by chemical gas.

Get a grip on reality, Noraa.
Do not rely on the NWO perps, the Z*****t press, to get the t***h.
Can anyone come up with a legitimate motive for Assad to gas his people?
His opposition sure had motive.

Right, so we punish Assad by k*****g even MORE of his people? Let's try that method here; next time a crime is committed where you live - we'll punish YOU.

Notice; this is a subject that most D's and R's want to sweep under the rug.
Both are guilty of falling for an absurd foreign policy.

We keep saying we're not at war with Islam, but ISIS wants an Islamic Jihad against the West, and the USA is doing everything in it's power - to give them exactly what they want. Something's definitely wrong, when one does what the enemy wants one to do.

eagleye13, Ever heard of a war without civilian casualties? Groups like ISIS cannot survive without civilian help whether voluntary or forced that's just a fact of life. And in the case of these Jihadists civilians are deliberately used as shields. How many thousands of American's have died or been crippled because of the 'rules of engagement' currently in place. As things stand now we will fight this 'war' for another century until finally there are far too many 'moderate' Muslims that we will no longer be able to fight and must submit. Our job is to protect our own, that makes Muslim 'civilians' legitimate targets. We would do well to revert to the rules that won WWII. Bring back napalm and flame throwers, carpet bomb every village, town and city and end this damn Jihad. They want terror, give them terror because hugs and reason won't work with these folks.

There seems to be a conflict in the area with a group (ISIS) there can never be a complete elimination of civilian causalities. No matter how much caution there is taken during attacks. This is regretful.

Yep; but we have to quit funding and arming ISIS. The Obama Admin, gave ISIS a free pass to travel hundreds of miles across open dessert through Turkey, to Assyria.
All after they l**ted Libya, of arms and the banks.
How stupid can that be????
It was not stupidity.

Look at Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima etc. The only way to win an air bombing war is to level everything. Hugh civilian causalities turn the population against their own who are pushing the fighting. Trying to take out just fighters and not hitting civilians from the air is a fools errand. Make the civilians surer enough and they will force their people sue for peace. Otherwise you have to use ground troops in sufficient numbers to overcome everyone. We are and have been playing politics in the middle east and else where. Get serious or get the hell out and let them do what they've been doing for century's, k*****g each other. I know, they want to bring it here, well, we can control that too. Mike
