Just another of the things most sillyvilians will never understand

ARLINGTON, Va. (Jan. 21, 2014) Chief Musician Stan Curtis plays taps during a full honors funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. A snow storm closed the federal government that day, however the Navy Band and the Ceremonial Guard continued to render honors to veterans.

A very moving picture.

If anyone cares to, check out an older movie called "Gardens of Stone". It was based on the Ceremonial Honor Guard of Arlington Cemetery during the Viet Nam War. It starred James Caan, James Earl Jones, and Angelica Huston. The supporting cast was a who's who of current stars, early in their careers. I do not remember the year of release, but would guess sometime between 1985-1995.

It is well worth watching.

The picture of the veterans ceremonial guard and "sounding of taps" has to be the ultimate offering to a deceased veteran and I do not care what anybody says. RESPECT..HONOR..DUTY. A long, long time ago it was said : Greater love than this, no man hath... than to lay down his life for a friend! It was true then and still is today my friends. And I would lay down my life for you too.GOD BLESS AMERICA. SEMPER FI SOLDIER. [USMC, COMBAT-RETIRED] Still ready to serve!

Easy - when the commander in chief ISN'T a commander in chief, but is a puppet for enemies of the nation for which honorable soldiers serve. To honor people like Obama and Hillary, both of whom obviously have great disdain for our military personnel, is a slap in the face of our fine military people.

Have you ever served in the American military?

Ah, another simple minded liberal going of on a rant that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. You people just have spew your BS Eh?
One major thing you liberal morons fail to understand is that respect is something earned and not bestowed upon by the liberal lame stream medias and a bunch of immoral weirdoes.
Now just what is it that this messiah of yours has done that deserves any respect at all?
It's support of the terrorists?
It's total disregard for the Constitution?
It's admitting to being a pot head?
It's failure to honor the oath of office?
Now I can go on for pages with a list of things that deserve no respect what so ever but your to blinded by his bs you wouldn't ever understand anyway.
And just how about his allowing the murders in B******i that has ALL normal Veterans up in arms?

Some Commander and Chief! WOW, you really think so? And how are they, those standing out giving last service to a fallen brother or sister being disrespectful? If you are speaking of those on OPP that served, and many who are now retired, they are not being disrespectful. Remember that respect is EARNED. How has Obama earned American respect? He may be earning the admiration of those who are living free via tax payers, or those that are here illegally, but what has he done for the American people and more importantly what has he done for the American Solider?

Yea, I'll bet they were remembering, while they only have to play in that weather, a lot of the men they were honouring, fought and died in it.
