I wonder...

I wonder how many parents actually still explain to their kids the meaning of Memorial Day. Not only has Christmas become so commercialized, but days like today "Memorial Day" have become just another holiday. Today is not a happy day, it's not so much about barbeques or sales or shopping. It is a day for reflection, a day to honor all of those heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice for we the people and for this great nation. I know we all have busy lives, but taking 30 minutes to explain who we honor today, might reap big rewards down the road.

Especially if we ever have to go to war again for our country. May we never forget those that gave so much for us here at home.
