At this point, continuing to defend the direction Obama is trying to take us is defending creeping totalitarianism. The Democrats have committed themselves and wish to save face, but there must be some who secretly wonder to themselves "what have we done?" Republicans don't get a pass either. Not only did Bush overreach the power of the Presidency during his tenure, he gave birth to the Tea Party with the TARP bailouts. Except for the ACA (which has to be the most poorly crafted piece of legislation in my time), Obama is not doing much different than Bush. The Republicans seem to be content to remain out of power as long as no one rocks the money boat.

It would appear to me that the Dem's don't want the money boat rocked. Look how they squealed over the sequester. It really hurt their pocketbooks more than the Repub's. The one's that really benefited were Ovomit's Wall Street buds, and they still are.

It is my limited view that Obama had little or nothing whatsoever to do with our present d******eness: that was firmly in place with McConnell and the young guns--by their admitted public statements. And, playing the race card, the color of Barrack's skin. Hard to ignore.

That's very true, but due to how embarrassing that would be, other factors MUST be found. That's why the continued "research" into Obamas birth certificate, B******i etc. Something else had to be found to justify the anti Obama campaign. The fact is, they got the campaign going BEFORE the "evidence" came in to support it.
A self fulfilling prophecy, only, the prophecy was going to be fulfilled by the direct and continuous effort by those previously alluded to. After the "party of no" finishes it's campaign, they'll be able to say "I told you so". Their biggest fear is that a black man will be viewed as a successful President. Should that happen, some other " uppity n****r" might try it, and win.
