A Look to the Heavens -- The Veil Nebula

"A Look to the Heavens"

“The Veil Nebula is a large supernova remnant, the expanding debris cloud from the death explosion of a massive star. While the Veil is roughly circular in shape covering nearly 3 degrees on the sky in the constellation Cygnus, this portion of the eastern Veil spans only 1/2 degree, about the apparent size of the Moon. That t***slates to 12 light-years at the Veil's reassuring estimated distance of 1,400 light-years from planet Earth.

In the composite of image data recorded through narrow band filters, emission from hydrogen atoms in the remnant is shown in red with strong emission from oxygen atoms in blue-green hues. In the western part of the Veil lies another seasonal apparition, the Witch's Broom.”

Stunningggggg!! wow.. I think it looks like a Klingon ship....

Supernova remnant ~~ how they are able to define and or identify when there is so much out there staggers the imagination...

Super explosions of a star near its end cycle..
Do you know Scientists also have determined that supernovas play a key role in distributing elements throughout the universe. When the star explodes, it shoots elements and debris into space....Many of the elements we find here on Earth are made in the core of stars...These elements travel on to form new stars, planets and everything else in the universe....

So as we come across things here they could have come from a supernova.. That just freaks me out!!!

Kind of like a mother sending out her children to seed the universe so it can continue to grow and expand

Exactly, bggamers.. !! Wow, very true too!!
I find our Universe so amazing ..We know so very little.. It fascinates me!!!

Some suggest there could be other universes besides our own, where all the choices you made in this life played out in alternate realities...Now I have a very hard time with this concept, but dangit, can't dispute the possibility of it either...Are we the only universe out there. With our current technology, we are limited to observations within this universe because the universe is curved and we are inside the fishbowl, unable to see the outside of it (if there is an outside.) ???

Anyway, see what just one article or picture can do in recognition of so much more out there?? I love that..
