Probably just another way for Obama to bring misery to the American people and possible k**l them off if they don't have their medications.

That is true. There is a major issue among disabled or injured people who need strong medication or opioids to control pain so they can work or just survive. There is a big push by certain groups to restrict opioids to just a 6 month supply unless you have cancer.
However, there are many especially with nerve or back conditions that are in extreme pain 24/7 and need some kind of medical control. Still there is no measuring system for pain, other than a self report scale of how much pain you feel. Then it is up to the doctor to guess if you are telling the t***h or not.
To make things worst several sever pain suffers have overdosed and k**led themselves either accidentally or maybe on purpose (euthanasia) to end the pain. Some might suggest that the real "controllers" are trying to reduce legal methods of getting medication so that more will k**l themselves thus reducing the disabled or perhaps to force them to buy illegal drugs which cost more and puts more money in "their" pockets.
It is a serious problem and involves politics because some groups are pushing for FDA regulations that limit opioids to only 6 months unless you have cancer. Right now it varies from state to state and doctor to doctor about how much pain medicine a person can get.
My position is that we need an objective test to measure how much pain a person is in and how effective various pain medicines are for each individuals pain. Little or no research is being done on this, that I can find, so it is left up to politicians, the worst possible group, to write the regulations.
