Police officers refused service because of their guns

How far can our fear of guns go? It seems that it may be pretty far from this story. How can a declared gun free zone remain so without police to help enforce it? Should on duty officers have to secure their guns in vehicles before going into an eating establishment because it is gun free? I guess the police who entered Sandy Hook school after the massacre shouldn't have carried their guns with them.

OldRoy, out here we can carry in the open anywhere but Government Buildings, Banks, and anywhere that serves liquor. I pack a Tarus Judge 3" Mag in the open & a Ruger LCP cocealed every where! I have never even been refused service anywhere or approached about it but do get some cautious looks from out of state tourists....
A lot of people out here carry in the open, most likely why we don't have any of the dumbohcrap weirdo's trying anything in our area Eh?

Part of the gun fear is brought on by ignorance and the fear mongering by the liberal i***ts in government. Many people have never touched a gun in their life. They don't have to use a gun to provide food for themselves anymore, so they see no reason to have one. These very same people are stupid enough to think that the police are going to protect them.

I became a gun owner for the first time in my 80 years on 12-11-13, three days before the Newtown massacre. I bought that one because I was sure I could see some serious attempt at gun control coming and within a week the serious attempts were coming at us.

Police protect us? I think that the day will come when I may have to use my gun to keep from having the local police trying to take it from me because they are following a "President's" orders. Obama believes that the military and police will serve him like that, you know.

I became a gun owner for the first time in my 80 y... (show quote)

Obama might not get what he believes. We'll just have to see. Get someone to teach you how to use your new gun. Control is about making each shot count.

If we get to the point where I need something to protect myself from those who want my guns I will use my son's goose gun that holds the same tight pattern for over 75 yards. Just point and shoot.

Seriously, I think I can handle my gun as long as I can buy ammo for it. Where do you get that stuff for a 9 mm?

Cheaper than Dirt has no 9mm ammo, at all. I have been seeing .22 magnums in Walmart stores but CTD doesn't have any of them for sale. I looked this afternoon, and they aren't much better than they have been for months.
