I truly believe that Trey Gowdy representative from South Carolina would be an outstanding president of the United States. He is a man of principle and he firmly believes the laws of this country and in the Constitution. I know that he is just a junior representative in the House, but I believe he is the type of person that we need, desperately need to lead this country. Representative Gowdy is a true American and believes in American values. Look at the way he questions people who are brought before his committee. He is a take no prisoners, bulldog that once he bites into a crooks ass, he doesn't let go.

How refreshing would it be to actually have someone you could trust and believe in, in the Executive office. The problem as I see it is that he is not rich enough, primarily because he's not corrupt, as far as I know. He hasn't been around long enough to acquire the wealth that most of these crooks have acquired. The other problem is he is not a Rino Republican I believe he was a Tea Party candidate but I'm not certain. If he is part of the TEA PARTY then the rhinos in the Republican party would never allow him to be nominated and would never fund his candidacy.

What a shame that we have a man who is fearless and believes in the American system and the American way of life that can't be elected because he isn't a crook.

I wish there were some way we could encourage Mr. Gowdy to run for that office. I know I would do all that I could to help in any way to make him the president of the United States.

The problem with anyone that is not in the system is that they cannot get the backing they need from enough people to compete against the rich that have the full backing of their party. As long as we have people like Carl Rove running the party, these kinds of people will never stand a chance against the establishment. It's to bad really, because we could use some good men. I would love to be able to v**e for someone that cares about my country instead of trying to destroy it. It sure would be different too.

I would send it to him but unless you have a South Carolina address, you can't send him an email from his website. I am in Illinois (Yes, I know lol) so I can't post anything to his website. Maybe someone on this forum could post it to him from S. Carolina?

We are a nation of believers in the underdog. Do we let them continue to rule not legislate but rule or do we take back our great nation. If South Carolina could do it (yes we all know they are a bit special down there) but if they can do it so can we !!!

I, too, like him and was wondering about him the other day since Cruz is a Canadian... and probably would be barred from being President. Guess it doesnt matter if they are not 'american made' for the Senate, huh? I like Gowdy's style... He's an 'in your face' type of guy --- more like a bull dog to get what he wants... I wish more people would start using his name around..

I am trying to spread the word about representative Gowdy at every opportunity. I just posted on another thread on this forum about his integrity etc. It was in response to a post by a liberal who said all Republicans are afraid to step outside the RNC national platform. I tried to refute that with pointing him to videos about Trey Gowdy and what he stands for. Of course, it will fall upon deaf ears, after all he is a liberal. But I still try.

I had an email from newsmax last fall contained the Washington office phone numbers and email addresses for all of our house and senate representatives but I can't find it.

Also looked up his website but only limited contact info there as well. He does have a Facebook page. It might be interesting to see what other people maybe saying and talking about as well.

I know I'm nit-picking a little bit here, but he needs to brush up on his quotes. He said on Greta Van Susteran, "O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive" was authored by Edgar Allen Poe. T***h is...it's by Sir Walter Scott.

The reason he can't be elected is that his highest office held is U.S. representative. Although, its not mentioned in the constitution, the U.S. only elects Senators, Governors, Vice Presidents, and winning war Generals to the White House. If he is serious he has to run for the senate or governorship of his state.
