It's amazing how these numbers all end being even like 100,000 and 200,000, when you make up your next batch of phoney numbers make them odd so they look real.

that was a good article ,I liked the one comment of where the brother had a sister on welfare.I still think about my Daughter when she was young and married to a flake .She did finally got rid of him and became a semi driver. she loved it no welfare after that.But she did the very same thing. I always told ,you work for what you get.That way you learn to take care of what you have. I taught her how to drive, and she did very well after that.

If it is such common knowledge, tell us why the Darrel Issa's of the world don't bring someone up on charges, and I don't mean the recipients, there has to some government employees involved. Just like when congress cut some funding for the food stamps, they said they were cutting out the fraud and graft, but they cut the whole program, because they didn't know where the fraud was, maybe because there was so little. And while I'm at it maybe some of you know it all's could name a few entitlement programs that were cut by the Bush admin.

Actually, you came up with it for me. Please, do you think welfare recipients should be allowed to take a trip from Maine to Disneyworld at taxpayer expense? Is it acceptable to use funds from EBT at liquor stores and strip clubs? How do you feel at the grocery checkout when an EBT is presented to pay for cigarettes, 3.2 beer, chips and snacks, while a toddler squirms in the cart?
Do you think it's alright to spend cash from EBT on crack, dime bags, and zigzags? For your own satisfaction, I also resent

So, tell me, What is the total amount of Welfare in Maine? The article says that about $2.1 million was spent out of state. What percentage of the total is that?
Of course there will always be those who abuse ANY system. Let's not take the broad sword and damn all welfare recipients for the actions of the few.

I'll tell you one thing for sure.A EBT card can not be used for anyone of the things you just mentioned ,except the chips and snacks.that's the law. You can't even buy toilet tissue.
