Planning your day....

Hello. When I was just a youngin', I went to my girlfriends' house a few suburbs away.

Its a city with a real Mayberry feel to it. Quiet. Peaceful. Everybody knows each other.

I was almost tempted, even as a kid, to look at it in black and white.

Anyway, a couple of us gurls were walking along and we came up to a corner.

No traffic. ...when suddenly Joycie yelled, "Look at that!"

Up to the corner next to us stops a cherry red Rolls Royce Convertible. It had a drippingly delicious caramel interior.

The driver was a guy who looked like actor Gene Barry. Pocket kerchief and all. Total class.

And the woman he was with...... boy! To be her!

Blond. Wearing a total silk head scarf and a tight fitting creme one piece. Lots of gold bangle jewelry!

In this town, seeing something like this was like a Los Angelean seeing a UFO!

They could see we were oogling. (This is before googling).

So the driver humored us: Could we tell them how to get to xxxxx?

We said sure but even better yet we could show them if we could ride in the car.

Hop in and off we went.

They were thankful and decided to take us out for lunch. It was a darkly paneled elegant pub and best of all-valet parking!

I had the best Rubin in my life.

During our conversation, I asked them if they had any advice on being successful...like they were.

Heres what he said, and she agreed:

"Look at your day in the morning...consider what you have to do....AND TACKLE THE THINGS YOU DONT WANT TO DO FIRST."

"If you do this, your day will end on a high note because you will have finished it doing what you enjoy."

"And attitude can get you through a lot of challenges you'll be confronted with. "

After dinner, they dropped us off individually at our houses (I was at a girlfriends), and he was sure to beep the horn and wave goodbye enthusiastically so all the neighbors could see.

I'm telling you this now because of the lesson and the fun.....and because right now in ebay under Rolls Royce is a convertible which reminded me of the event.

Check it out. Sure was an experience.

Regards.
