Aiding and abetting" is a "criminal action"! What these two Latino presidents are doing is "illegal" and against U. S. A laws and "best interests"! We do NOT need any more "illegals" on welfare and at the U. S. taxpayers' !!!!!!! We have many too many NOW!!!!

It is too bad this informative and interesting "area" article (probably could but won't) be published in the National press! Obviously, it appears its author is "familiar" with the area and its "general" thinking. I travelled in Saudi Arabia, ,Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine and visited Iran (1947-1949) and found its "native" residents intelligent , friendly and proud of their Nationality. Unfortunately, over the years, "politics" has torn the area apart! Too bad - it used to be a wonderful "life"!Saudi Arabia tribal differences always created "problems" until after WW1 when King Ibn Saud brought all the tribes "together" and created one peaceful Nation! Same for Jordan's rulers. Regretfully, over the years, other Middle Eastern Nations, so far, have not permanently followed the trend! "Politics" in the Middle East are an ancient but continuing "evil" to total peace in the area.

An outstanding suggestion!!! BUT the so-called appropriate U. S. Government officials will find some way or excuse to say ---- it is not practical or too expensive or not necessary as VA "care is available" etc. etc. Any excuse to screw or "cut-off" services and/or benefits to and for U. S. Veterans!!!!

NOTE FROM THE "PAST": In 1946 right after I came home from the South Pacific during WW II and discharged from the Army, , I was living in Washington, D. C. I had a ruptured appendicitis. The VA sent me immediately to the U. S. Navy Hospital Bethesda, Md. The operation, treatment. after care and any required "services" was fantastic . I never had such wonderful medical care except when I broke my arm overseas! The gist of this "story" is that, at ONE time/period, VA was "on the ball" and did a great "job" --- for me! I immediately went back overseas for 25 years with the U. S. Government BUT during that period and since I started to hear that the VA was NOT doing a very good "job" for the benefit of U. S., veterans! Therefore, all the furor nowadays about VA's faults is NOT totally the fault of its current director ------ it has been a long-time "affair! And, as usual, the U. S. veterans are getting the "shaft"!!!!!!

With the upcoming National and local elections pending/upcoming::::: VETERANS , and I am proud to say I am one from WWII, regardless of your "current" political party, remember that the politicians have totally forgotten U. S.'s veterans after WWII!!!!!!! We were somewhat "recognized" after WWII; totally forgotten after Vietnam; and, so far, veterans have received, from the Government, very little "recognition" and "support" since Afghanistan and Iraq! In fact, at the loss of U. S. human life, the taxpayers' input and the U. S. was never attacked (i.e.: WWII), the U. S. has unnecessarily become involved in these "wars" without any favorable results to anyone - except making the politicians and others, happy and/or rich! As in WWII, I always thought that it took a "National" vote to go to war----not the "whim" of the politician's in Washington who, allegedly, are "speaking" for their constituents (sometimes without their support)! Isn't it about time ALL "legal" voters start seriously thinking about the upcoming elections and, in particular, the candidates, their qualifications, anticipated "program" and the U.S.'s future for improvement and to make a better U.S.A. for its legitimate U. S. citizens!

A memorable and wonderful selection of photographs, I served in New GuineA, Morotai Island and P.I. I wish there was a way that these photos could be shown on facebook so more of today's viewers would see what "war" was like!.
Unfortunately, we Americans have a tendency to "forget" the past far too soon and too quickly!! Thank you for the "memory" lesson!!! L. B. Munn, Ex-U. S. Army Signal Corps. (91 years old and by the grace of God still alive). Chalfont, Pa.

The ONLY "thing" memorable about Benghazi today (or any day)was the terrible, unnecessary and tragic loss of a U. S. Ambassador and 4 other U.S. citizens! I was assigned there in 1969/70 when it was the "custom" of transferring Libyan "capitals" between Benghazi and Tripoli every two years. It was nothing but a "village' oasis surrounded by sand; savaged by "red" ghiblis ( Sahara desert sand storms), and, a "nothingness"! There was one so-called style Italian restaurant and grocery store left over when its Italian "occupants" were kicked out after WWII; a "locals" hotel(on the beach) and movie house; a temporary small British garrison but, "thank God", a Christian Scientist operated medical clinic and hospital operated by U. S. mission and medical personnel. In the desert near the Egyptian border were several foreign oil rigs. It "might" be a "bit" better now - but I doubt it! In those days, it as one of the "AH" assignments and places in the world! Tripoli, Libya's main sea port, was better them because of the nearby U. S. Wheelus Air Force Base! In "those" days, we should have received "special" medals and "awards" , as with many other such assignments, for "serving" there!

Collect ALL (men, women, children (even IF born in USA they are still "illegals") and return them back to their country of origin. However, prior to returning photograph, fingerprint, blood type and etc. so, if after deportation, they attempt to return , they may be properly identified and be treated as "illegal invaders" or "criminals" and treated accordingly! Regretably, I do not have the answer for the "treated accordingly"! Maybe, as suggested above, the answer would be to reduce any and whatever "aid", financial or other support we give to their country of origin would get that country to take internal action to improve the "life" of its citizens to the extent they do not wish to leave! Far fetched BUT a "possible" solution!

A WONDERFUL citation on how it should be getting all the illegals and never working freeloaders off of the welfare rolls and MEDICARE and similar!!!!!!! I am sick and tired of paying my hard earned income (and also all the tax payers' money) to "support" these worthless bums. The U. S. Border Controls are NOT doing a very efficient job at stopping them from sneaking into the USA NOR catching the illegals and sending them back to their own country! Unfortunately, we also have thousands of US born freeloaders on welfare who could work but don't because they are on the "dole" and never get caught! Then there are those, usually unmarried, females who make a "life" of "breeding" kids just to get welfare and support at the taxpayers' expense. The U.S.A. is or has become a "welfare state" and Congress, state governments and similar continues to do nothing about it!!
