So many are upset about this shut down, and liberals a conservatives are blaming the other for the shut down, but this is the first sign I have seen that our system of government is working since the Clinton administration. It doesn't matter what party is in the white house but when one party republican or democrat has a monopoly on the house, senate and white house then spending is out of control. George W. had this and the debt doubled, Obama had this the debt doubled. Clinton did not have this and there was a shut down and a balanced budget. The founding fathers anticipated a runaway government and designed this system of checks and balances so each party could keep the other in check. Guess what the system is working. Don't buy into the scare tactics from either side or the media, this will be resolved, and we may for the first time since Clinton have a balanced budget.
