Trump lumped them together and admitted he did so. He said he timed the pardon for the widest news coverage due Hurricane Harvey. I am not bitching about his hat. I am bitching about his total lack of decency in merchandising his hat at a disaster where people died. Open you eyes.
The shamelessness of this act goes far beyond the pale. Using a natural disaster of unprecedented proportions, with 21 known dead, to sell his USA hats, as modeled by him in both red with white lettering and white with red lettering, is disgusting on a level that is fathomless. He said he announced the pardon of Arpaio because he knew Hurricane Harvey would get massive coverage by all the media (the purposeful timing was something Fox News said was an invention by the liberal media). What that also meant to him and his choice of headgear for his trip to Texas, where he neither met with nor even mentioned the victims, was free advertising. Sit in a news conference bragging about the great turnout where his merchandise gets center-stage. Please, be honest Trump-supporters: isn't that action just plain wrong? What excuse can you give him? He used his office to make a buck. He has no moral compass.
