White House spokeswoman Hope Hicks issued this statement (joke? parody? pratfall?): “President Trump has a magnetic personality and exudes positive energy, which is infectious to those around him. He has an unparalleled ability to communicate with people, whether he is speaking to a room of three or an arena of 30,000. He has built great relationships throughout his life and treats everyone with respect. He is brilliant with a great sense of humor . . . and an amazing ability to make people feel special and aspire to be more than even they thought possible.”

The novel Ninety Eighty-Four would never have made it to print using this Hope Hicks beyond imagining example of "double think" or "newspeak." As an alternative fact, her statement is now the definition.

For your perusal, some his "infectious positive energy" where he "treats everyone with respect."

Conservative pundit Erick Erickson fired off a tweet Wednesday saying his savior called on him to be a good steward for the planet... but that concept doesn’t extend to global warming: "Erick Erickson‏Verified account @EWErickson I worship Jesus, not Mother Earth. He calls us all to be good stewards of the planet, but doesn't mean I have to care about global warming." The monumental absurdity, irony, and stupidity of this statement is breathtaking. And so far down the rabbit hole it is difficult to believe someone actually said it that was not locked in some mental hospital for the criminally deluded. It is plain that he thought this was a way to sway the few fellow Christians not yet on board with the GOP platform through the backdoor, that even if "global warming" were true a "good steward for the planet" could ignore its steady destruction by "global warming."

Please note the "conservative pundit" is responding as if "global warming" is true, not a Liberal-demon lie being used to create a Soros-backed One World Order. And Tweeter went nuts:

-Paolo Gregoletto@TriviumPaolo @EWErickson Well it's gunna really suck for Jesus when he returns and most of the planet is under water.

-(This one really nails the ridiculousness of his statement): Laura Robinson @LauraRbnsn@EWErickson I worship Jesus, not the poor. He calls us all to feed the hungry, but that doesn't mean I have to care about starving people.

-Dennis Perkins@DennisPerkins5@EWErickson Even Jesus is saying, "Jesus Christ!" while trying to figure out how stupid this statement is.

-Kris M. Wernowsky@kriswernowsky@EWErickson HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh shit...you're serious.

-Zak McIntyre @zakmcintyre@EWErickson That’s like saying you love your pets but you’re not concerned about feeding them.

President Donald Trump says he pulled out of the Paris global climate deal because it was a raw deal for American business. He called it a jobs killer that will decimate industry and cost 2.7 million jobs by 2025.

But that's not what American businesses believe.

Dozens of CEOs had been lobbying the president to stay in the deal, and they're not just the Silicon Valley types -- they're from utilities and industrial giants like General Electric (GE). Even oil companies like Exxon Mobil (XOM) wanted the United States to stay in the deal.

Exxon Mobil (XOM) CEO Darren Woods on Wednesday reiterated his support for the Paris agreement, which calls for nations around the globe to cut carbon emissions.

The reason: All of these companies want to sell the new technology and energy sources, such as natural gas, that are needed to cut carbon emissions. And they want the United States government to participate in the global negotiations about how that will be achieved.

"U.S. companies are well positioned to lead in these markets," said a letter recently sent to Trump by CEOs of 25 major companies, including electric utilities such as PG&E (PCG) and National Grid (NGG). "Withdrawing from the agreement will limit our access to them and could expose us to retaliatory measures."

The deal's supporters say there is little upside for businesses if the U.S. withdraws, and a lot of risks.

In a word, zero! No awards, nada, zilch, naught, butkis. Totally insane fabrication. How do you guys support such a degenerate liar?

Find one! (Hint: Try Covfefe Browser for sources.)

Article here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2017/01/24/trumps-unsupported-claim-he-has-received-awards-on-the-environment/?utm_term=.4e41543a9f2b

Trump touted his alleged environmental accolades as early as 2011, when he said during a “Fox and Friends” interview, “I’ve received many, many environmental awards.” He repeatedly claimed this during the 2016 presidential campaign: “I’ve won many environmental awards, by the way. I’ve actually been called an environmentalist, if you can believe that.”

The short answer is: No. Media outlets and environmental groups have tried to find evidence of this claim since 2011 but have come up short. We could not readily find references to Trump’s environmental awards in news coverage over the past 10 years. We checked with the Natural Resources Defense Council Action Fund, the Environmental Defense Fund and the Sierra Club, and none had any record of Trump’s environmental awards.
In fact, environmentalists have criticized many of Trump’s projects. In 2008, Trump faced backlash from local officials and environmentalists in Scotland when he proposed to build a golf course on protected sand dunes.

During a hearing on the project, Trump called the state of the site “kind of disgusting.”

During the 2008 hearing, Trump said he didn’t read his environmental consultants’ advice because he didn’t need to. From the Wall Street Journal’s coverage of the hearing:
“I would consider myself an environmentalist in the true sense of the word,” Mr. Trump said, a comment that drew so much laughter from the public gallery that the inquiry chairman had to call for order.

Ultimately, Trump got his project approved after promising to create jobs for local workers. Trump later fought an offshore wind farm project near his golf resort in Scotland, saying the wind turbines sullied the view from his course.

In 2010, environmentalists criticized Trump for chopping down more than 400 trees along the Potomac River during a renovation of his golf course in Loudoun County, Va.

Chelsea Henderson, who has worked on environmental policy for Republican lawmakers and conservation organizations for two decades, conducted a thorough search of Trump’s environmental record — on clean water and air, and the use of green energy in his real estate projects. Trump had one certification in progress with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), but LEED is a building certification, not an award.

I told you to not get your panties in a bunch, Ve'hoe. Chill. Be civilized, no need for hysterics. You are the topic, so own up or shut up. You bought that "pizzagate" story, I know it. Admit it. And the Seth Rich fantasy. You are the topic because you are prone to blindly accept "fake news." You make "fake news" anything and everything that shows your failed policies and corrupt morals concerning the poor, disadvantaged, elderly, and disabled, seeing them as bottom-feeders and scum not worthy of life or decency. You are pathetic and clueless, a blind ignoramus without enough outlets to express all your hate and fear. Commas, what the hell is with all the commas? Stupid. But you probably think it stylish or something. You can't make a coherent sentence, just like your Puppeteer, so you hide with those absurd commas. For all your adult rage, you are a child. Looking forward to further stimulating conversations. Ta.

The answer is obvious: Conservatives and people with fundamentalist views. The bulk of "fake news" stories comes from conservatives. Just a fact, don't get your panties in a bunch. Just google "top ten 'fake news' stories of 2016 or 2017." You remember "pizzagate," right? Then we have recently the Hannity debacle about Seth Rich, which he is now inflaming to be about Liberals trying to squash free speech, another form of "fake news," when it was his own network that killed this bogus story. Lies within lies. (And google Hannity's ten biggest "fake news" stories. And then push yourself to find the proof those stories were really debunked, don't just whine or curse that his "fake news" was true or I am persecuting him.)

Since many of the most popular fake news stories during the campaign season were threatening in nature — for example, “ISIS leader calls for American Muslim voters to support Hillary Clinton” — and conservatives believe threats are credible at rates significantly higher than liberals, it created the perfect storm for conservative-leaning fake news sites in 2016.

Results actually came from two studies: one in 2015 and one in 2016. Each study contained 16 statements concerning benefits — “Exercising on an empty stomach burns more calories.” — or hazards — “An intoxicated passenger could partially open the exit door to a commercial jetliner, causing the cabin to depressurize and the oxygen masks to deploy.” All but two of the 16 statements were false. Researchers found no significant difference in the way the two groups perceived statements about benefits. When it came to statements about hazards, though, conservatives were more likely to take the bait. “Conservatives see safety in the status quo, while liberals see opportunity in change,” explained Fessler.

The Status Quo is central to being Conservative and it means a great many things, such as family values, time-honored traditions, gradual change, loyalty to country, and more. Bastions that need to be protected, ergo, any threats are taken far more seriously by Conservatives than Liberals, whether real or imaginary. I am not saying this is necessarily a bad thing but it makes one more receptive to manipulation and deceit, and as I mentioned above, take "pizzagate" as a perfect example. Breitbart and other alt-right sites stoked this madness. Hillary Clinton had a sex club in the basement of a pizza joint that was abusing young children. The business was bombarded with hate and death threats and even had some nutjob go there to rescue those kids. (There may be a few reading this that still believe the story was true.) Stop being reactionary. Get a little maturity and try responding instead. Test your thoughts by playing the Devil's Advocate. Research with an open mind.

Two men suffered fatal stab wounds, and a third man was seriously injured, when they intervened in an incident on Friday on a Portland commuter train. Police said the men were trying to stop a man who was yelling anti-Muslim slurs at two young women -- one of whom was wearing a hijab -- on the train. The mayor had this to say about two scheduled rallies on federal land: "Our city is in mourning, our community's anger is real, and the timing and subject of these events can only exacerbate an already difficult situation. My main concern is that they are coming to peddle a message of hatred and of bigotry. They have a First Amendment right to speak, but my pushback on that is that hate speech is not protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution." The ACLU disagrees.

One of the organizers, Joey Gibson, said this: "The mayor is using this as an opportunity to use these two dead people to silence us." Gibson also distanced his group from the train-killings suspect, Christian. Gibson said Christian showed up an April 29 free speech march he organized in Portland "with a bat yelling and screaming, cussing at people, using derogatory names." "Jeremy Christian has nothing to do with us. He hated us, he threatened me. We did everything we could to kick him out. We didn't want him with us," Gibson said. In a video of the April free speech rally, Christian is seen shouting at people. At one point, Christian blurts a racial epithet, according to the video from reporter Doug Brown of The Portland Mercury. Christian, 35, identifies himself in one of the videos, and he's also seen carrying the baseball bat, which he handed over to officers who approached him.
