Sboy sked why he didn't call a grand jury. Very simple. Cops dont call a g j , prosecutors do.FBI is a police organization, so Comey can't and Lynch won't.

Besides I read a fascinating book a few years back. "THE FACE OF THE THIRD REICH". It was psychological profiles of important people in the Nazi party and government. Written in the 1970's so he doesn't use the word, but he is not describing a political party, but a cult.

correction. Hitler saw what a police state can do and shouted "me too!"

Pennylyn, I thought you were an Orthodox Jew. Your last statement shows you're not.
But this thread started about xianity. John has never gotten back about my questions. Here's another question. Any person claiming to be a prophet has to prove it. There are 2 ways.
1. A proven prophet has to endorse him or her.
2. A prophecy that comes true in every detail. It's going to rain next week doesn't cut it. Its going to rain next Tuesday at 3:11 for exactly 42 minutes for 1.254 inches would. BUT any subsequent prophecy that doesn't come true in every detail disqualifies the prophet. I'm not sure but maybe even retroactively. I could bring up lots more questions but try answering the ones I've posted first.

Cool Breeze that's exactly my point! You missed choice 3. He gave more information than was written down.
Rabbi Shimshon Rafael Hirsch, a major Orthodox Rabbi in mid 19th century Germany said the written Torah are the classnotes to a series of lectures.

Genesis 15:13 "God said to Abram, "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years." and Exodus 12 verses 40 and 41, "Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, (was) four hundred and thirty years. And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt." I see where you think this is a contradiction. But, the key to this is G*d said that Abram's descendants would be strangers in a land that was not their land... so this includes Cannian as well as their enslavement in Egypt. Also, G*d said that Abram and his descendants, which would be his son Isaac (the only son of Abram and Sarah) his son would be strangers. Issac was born 30 years after the vision. Taking this in consideration, G*d delivered the children out of Egypt 430 years after he appeared to Abram. Keeping in mind, the Israelites were not slaves for 430 years, as they were only slaves in Egypt for 210 years, but they were strangers in other lands for 400 years starting from the time of Issac's birth. So, you can see, there is no contradiction.

To respond to your question on Leviticus 19:16... the actual quote used by most Christians is the KJV, "Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD." The meaning is made clear... If you are a talebearer, you spread rumors and rumor can be lies. It is wrong to lie about others or to gossip about one another. The same advice is reflected in Proverbs 11:13. And for the bigger issue, it is the 9th Commandment found in Exodus 20:10.

Exodus 20:9-10, "Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of Adonai your God." This has long legs, as my Papa would say. Because every action taken causes equal reactions. But, before this ... we have a small story about the Sabbath. So, the story goes like this; G*d appears to His people and says.... My people, if you keep my laws I have a wonderful gift for you. Of course someone asks, what gift is that? To which G*d responds, in time I will give you the Messianic Age and each day will be like the Sabbath, where you and others will not have to work the fields and worry for food or drink and your loyal animals can graze the fields without being tied to a plow. That should explain to you about the Sabbath... you do not work, you do not make another work, and you do not make your animals work. Of course this is simplified because the entire traditions surrounding the day is difficult for one who is not a shomer shabbat.

So, I submit to you that G*d is perfect, with perfect knowledge and is the author of the Torah. Prophets of G*d wrote the Navi and humans wrote the Ketuvim.

Now then, I apologize to you.... I made a mistake when I first encountered your comments. I thought you may be Jewish. This was a mistake and I now know better, I realize that you are either agnostic or perhaps an atheist. And that is alright, I will not try to change your views and feel free to ask me any question you may have. This is not to imply that I will have all the answers, and I will tell you honestly when I do not know. My Papa taught me that faith is not something that every person has or even can obtain.

That's my point. Rachellel definitely mrans peddlar. What took Moshe Rabbainu (Moses our Teacher) 40 days to learn in heaven? Everything not written down.
Theres a statement in Deuteronomy that says " slaughter the cattle as I have told you. But where? It's not in the written Torah anywhere.

The debate has started in social media., is this worse than Watergate? Why?
I vote yes. Nixon's was a minor crime made far worse by coverup. Whereas Hillary started with breaking security laws-not a minor crime and THEN proceeded with a coverup which also seems to include the president.

John and Pennylyn:
There is actually another even simpler problem with quiting straight verses. There are contradictions in the bible. For instance Abram (before his name change) is told his descendants will spend 400 years as strangers in a strange land. Yet when they leave Egypt the bible says 430 years. Which is it?
So , we have 3 choices
1. G-d didn't write the bible.
2. G-d makes mistakes, or 3
There's more to the bible than what's written down.

For example. What on eatth does the bible mean when it says. "Do not be a peddler among your people ( Leviticus 19:16)
What does resting on the Sabbath entail? For a law book it's extremely vague.

Based on your tone it's not debate your seeking, more an anger vent towards anyone that does not share your beliefs.
Recently I purchased a book entitled What the Odds Are. It's an A-Z collection of the odds on "everything you ever hoped or feared could happen". For instance, did you know that the odds of your being injured by a lightning strike on any given day are only 1 in 250 million, but over the average lifetime are 1 in 9,100? In contrast, the odds that the average citizen of Washington, D.C. will get "plugged, stabbed, poisoned, or bludgeoned to death" in the course of a year are only 1 in 1,681! One in 10 Americans read the Bible daily. One in two eat out somewhere every single day of the week--1 in 20 at McDonald's. In Sweden, 40 of every one hundred persons are senior citizens; in Fiji, only 1 in 50. And here's one that really amazed me: 1 in every 24 Americans has membership in the National Geographic Society. I guess it figures, though, because I noticed recently that a staggering 9,975,558 average copies of the National Geographic magazine are printed by the Society every month (including those intended for international distribution). If you still happen to be unconvinced that the baby born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago was anything more than just an ordinary human baby, let me challenge you with a few of “the odds” in that regard. To begin with, did you know that the Old Testament prophet Micah, writing circa 700 B.C., out of the hundreds and hundreds of cities in the scores and scores of nations in existence all over the world even in those days, designated Bethlehem of Judea as the birthplace of the Messiah (Micah 5:2)? And that at about the same time, Isaiah (7:14) said that the Christ would be born of a virgin? Or that a prophecy made in 1012 B.C. specified that the Messiah's hands and feet would eventually be pierced--a clear reference to death by crucifixion--800 years before the Romans ever even instituted crucifixion as a form of capital punishment! Malachi 3:1, penned in about 425 B.C., specified that the Messiah would be contemporary with the temple in Jerusalem--a temple that was destroyed in 70 A.D. and has never been rebuilt. Well, if all this impresses you even a little bit, you ought to go compare Zechariah 11:11-13 (written over 500 years before Christ) to Matthew 27:3-10 (written some 25-30 years after Christ). Only coincidence? A number of years ago, Peter W. Stoner and Robert C. Newman wrote a book entitled Science Speaks. The book was based on the science of probability and vouched for by the American Scientific Affiliation. It set out the odds of any one man in all of history fulfilling even only eight of the 60 major prophecies (and 270 ramifications) fulfilled by the life of Christ. The probability that Jesus of Nazareth could have fulfilled even eight such prophecies would be only 1 in 1017. That's 1 in 100, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000. Stoner claims that that many silver dollars would be enough to cover the face of the entire state of Texas two feet deep. Now I've been to Texas. I've driven for days to get across Texas. Texas is a very big state. Who in his right mind would suppose that a blindfolded man, heading out of Dallas by foot in any direction, would be able, on his very first attempt, to pick up one specifically marked silver dollar out of 100, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000? One March several years ago I received a paper from United States Senate Chaplain Richard Halverson. In it he wrote: “The fact is, the birth, crucifixion, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ are celebrated worldwide by folk of every race, language, and color, every year. And believing in Jesus, they have been delivered from the most evil, disastrous, frustrating, debilitating habits and life forms possible. The real problem with Jesus Christ is not that folk can't believe in Him—but that they won't believe in Him.” My friend, in all honesty, what are the chances you've not been altogether objective about the nature of the baby born in Bethlehem? What if the baby was God? What if He is God? What if you are to submit your life to Him?
If you want to "discuss", first explain, how to explain the odds of 8 fulfilled prophecies of Jesus. Then explain if you compiled all of the prophecies of Jesus that were fulfilled the science of odds would be 1 in 1 with enough zeros (normal type, font size) to circle the earth to the moon over 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times.

Okay. I said there are questions you have to answer before we argue verses.
1. The way you tell the story. He is not qualified for a very simple reason. The Messiah has to be a direct son after son descendant of David and what's less well known of Solomon. Adoption doesn't help, neither does Mary's ancestry. Tribal descent is aleays from the father. In II Kings chapter 11 the last prince of Judah, Joash is raised hidden in the holy temple by the high priest. He grows up to be king not high priest.
Let's say for the sake of argument that the messiah has to be born of a virgin. Where's the proof? Jews never take one person's word. If was necessary thr midwife would certify or Mary would be very young or very old.
J comes to Jerusalem and is grreted by Jews laying a carpet of palm branches. That makes the day he comes to town the last day of succos, when every man has a palm branch he no longer needs. But it wad used for a holy purpose, so it perfect srnse ( kind of) to lay a carpet for a holy man. 1 wrek later he dies on Passover. Never mind salvation, I want hos time machine. You see depending on whether its a Jewish lrap year Succos and Passover are 6 or 7 months apart.
And no I'm not angry, I love to have civil debates.

Never said it doesn't. I just said homicide has a range of meaning from natural causes to felony murder with exceptional circumstances which in some states means the death penalty.
For those new to this thread I am not accusing Hillary of any murder. Something meone said homicide is still homicide and I said homicide simply death of a person.
