It's sad how poorly educated Trump supporters are. Analysis shows that he speaks to them at the fourth-grade level. The part of the brain he appeals to stops at the stem. But it's not just poor education that's the problem. Just because someone lacks education doesn't mean they are stupid. But these folks are stupid. They don't understand the basic difference between fact and opinion. I used to think stupidity was its own punishment. I'm beginning to think their stupidity is our punishment. Republicans are reaping the putative "benefits" of their thirty-year drive to undermine public education.

Most of the stuff he says makes absolutely no sense, and it not only passes over his supporters' heads, but they cheer him in their fog of incomprehension and delusion. The ones who should know better are falling over like a row of dominos, because ideology, or opposition to anything a liberals says, is more important than truth, logic and what's good for the country. Despicable.
