Hi there! We had a wonderful Easter, but a windy one! I don’t remember the wind ever blowing this much here…..it’s like I’m back in West Texas! I have to admit I’m missing the ocean, but it’s wonderful to be back home!

We haven’t been on Possum Kingdom yet! We had a severe storm in this area, several tornadoes, lots of high winds….our boat was swamped sitting in a covered boat slip. It turned over the batteries, knocked wires loose and got water in the fuel…….😳 But…….They finally started working on it today, so soon we’ll be back on the water!

I suppose the mountains are coming to life……I love spring in the mountains! I can smell those pines from here! 😂

I was only nipped on my leg, but it hurt!

When I was a teenager my Dad and I went to check on a mare that was in the horse pasture with the brood mares and stud. I was riding my mare and the stud decided to go after her! My Dad grabbed his rope off the saddle horn and chased him off, but not before his teeth just grazed my mares hip! I have to admit, I was scared. It was a rodeo for a few minutes. It didn’t take me long to get back through the gate! I didn’t go back again! LOL!

What does the Bible say about white supremacy?

White supremacy is, simply put, the belief that white people are inherently superior to other races and ethnicities. Considering it is questionable whether any white people are explicitly mentioned in the Bible, the Bible does not directly address the concept of white supremacy. The Bible does, however, address racism, discrimination, and prejudice. In summary, viewing or treating other beings who are equally created in the image of God as inferior is sin. White supremacy, and any other form of racial supremacy, is offensive to God.

God chose the Israelites to be His covenant people, but not because they were superior to other races (Deuteronomy 7:7-9). The Israelites, however, came to view themselves as better than all the other races. By the time of Jesus, most Jews viewed Samaritans and Gentiles with disdain and disgust. Jesus, and later His apostles, made it clear that this was not God’s intent (John 4; Acts 8:14-17; 10:1-48; Galatians 3:28-29; Ephesians 2:11-22). Discrimination, favoritism, and prejudice are harshly condemned in James 2:1-8.

White supremacy has been in the news a lot lately. The news has been labeling the participants in the US capitol riots on January 6, 2021 as white supremacists. While the vast majority of the rioters were white, I have not seen any evidence that white supremacy had a significant role in the riots. From what I have seen, the rioters strongly believed the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump. They believed that Joe Biden and the Democrats will take the USA in a terribly wrong direction. But, being a white, Trump-supporting, and anti-socialist Republican does not automatically mean a person is a white supremacist.

It is probable that some of the rioters were white supremacists. At the same time, I am seriously questioning the motives of those who are claiming that white supremacy fueled the capitol riots. Some in politics and the media are taking the terrible events that occurred during the capitol riots and attempting to label everyone with even remotely similar beliefs as having all the same beliefs as the worst individuals who participated in the riots.

White supremacy, and every other form of racial supremacy, is repugnant. At the same time, associating a belief that is evil—white supremacy—with beliefs that are morally neutral in order to demonize those beliefs is deceptive and manipulative; it is political opportunism at its worst. Capitalism is not related to white supremacy. Being pro-life and/or against gun control has nothing to do with white supremacy. Being a loyal supporter of Donald Trump, (of which I am not,) does not make one a white supremacist.

Applying the labels of “racist” and/or “white supremacist” to those who are innocent of that sin does nothing but stir up more hatred, animosity, and distrust.

Now Genesis 2, verses 18 to 20, makes sense. That is, God recognized that Adam’s wife must be his counterpart — having the same qualities of spiritual understanding to be able to transmit to her descendants the same qualities for which God specially created and placed Adam in the world. It has been proved that you can either teach either a Negro or a chimpanzee to ride a bicycle, but all the eons of time have never sufficed to teach either a Negro or a chimpanzee to invent a bicycle. We don’t hate Negroes — we want them to be well-fed, well-clothed, comfortably housed and in no danger of being eaten by other Negroes — and that’s something they have never had except in a civilization created and maintained by White men.

Despite all the propaganda that you hear, every Negro in the United States is far better off than those in Africa. Just try to find any Negro here who wants to go back to any Black nation in Africa. But neither Negroes nor Whites will have the blessings of civilization in a nation which is reduced to Black standards of thinking. If they were capable of producing a civilization at all, 40,000 years is long enough to do it.

Yes, I know that in Asia — 2,300 years ago — Confucius taught some high ethical principles, but without a word of religion in them. And I know that the Ming Dynasty saw the production of some nice pieces of porcelain, but what did either of these do for the Asiatic people? Did it ever teach them how to produce enough food to fill those fine porcelain bowls? Shouldn’t 2,300 years of Confucian philosophy be enough to develop something more than poverty, filth, disease and misery? Again, the Asiatic mind lacks the true spiritual understanding which God saw was needed. Aren’t the Asiatics who live in the United States better off than those who live in Red China, Korea or Southeast Asia? We don’t hate them, but we don’t want them to reduce us to their level. That’s what God was talking about in the second chapter of Genesis when He said that the other beings who lived in the country round about Adam could not produce a suitable wife for Adam as his counterpart.

That is the perfect answer for all that have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior………..We will all be going up at some point! 👍
