When he didnt, someone behind Obamas campaign threatened the life of Clintons daughter Chelsea. It was then that Bill Clinton suddenly stopped speaking about Obamas birther issues.

It appears, from the second paragraph of your missive, that you are a northern liberal, union member. I was born & raised in the north, I have been both union & non-union. I was much happier being non-union, having a mind of my own to make my choices - not some union boss who uses my dues (my money) to live high while pretending to work for me. In my mind, if you have to have a union, you are not competent to think for yourself. I have also noticed. retired union members are bossy and pushy.
Any fool who thinks politicians are going to care for them has their head in the sand. I live in the south, and I'll take the south & southerners any day before the north. I have to qualify that there are many good people in the north, but there are folks with your mentality that turn me off. As stated I grew up in the north, got divorced & raised two kids without child support from a worthless northern Democrat, no welfare, no other government handouts. I worked full-time, part-time, & sold Avon on the side - without a union. God looked out for me, & I could tell you stories there, but it wouldn't change your mind - you are a northern liberal.
As for poor blacks, in the south, part of that is thanks to the Johnson Administration war on Poverty. It paid for your children, which encouraged the black man to leave his family so the kids could eat - this isn't just my assessment it is what educated black men, here in the south, have said to me. Then, unfortunately, black boys grow up without a father figure to try emulate, and instead become thugs. If they knew what Johnson said about them after passing the Civil Rights Bill, they might change their mind.
Economic mobility, why move if you want to be near family, have a love for your home state, and are just plain satisfied? What they have gives them as much or more satisfaction then 'climbing some economic ladder.' As northerners fight to climb that ladder, they stab people in the back, step on friends, lose their families to divorce - you get the drift. Statistics can be manipulated to tell the story you want to portray, but there are always extenuating circumstances that are not included.
Southerners are smart enough to steer clear of this healthcare scam OBAMACARE. The biggest problem smoking, obesity, and amphetamines. Dietary education, and healthy living options are a problem. See, I do admit that problems do exist, but I give them credit as they are beginning to accept the reality of proper diet and life style. Some of these problems are the result of a Government that knows what's best for you. Their policies that encourage dependency on handouts, and the rules and regulations that have driven businesses out of this Nation, which has greatly reduced the opportunities to work and get ahead.
As for guns and religion - I'll stand with a 'Red Neck Southerner' any day of the week, against some northern pantywaist. They know how to be able to live off the land; to trust God to help them. As for 'religion' that's for northerners, southerners just plain have FAITH.
Having Republicans lead in the south is due to the fact that they don't feel they have to take as much of your money to dole it back out to you, where that's what the Democrats feel they must do. Let's look at some great cities run by Democrats - how about Detroit, MI; Philadelphia, PA; Memphis, TN; St. Louis, MO; Newark, NJ; Milwaukee, WI; Cincinnati, OH; Miami, FL; Cleveland, OH; Buffalo, NY. Do I think Republicans are better managers than Democrats - not really, it's just that they are Progressive light, where Democrats are just liberal PROGRESSIVES. Progressives feel they know what's best for you, that you're too stupid to do for yourself.
The NSA doesn't care about you or I, they are probably getting all the dirt they can on members of Congress & anyone with money & power. The ones who may not agree with the ultra-rich Bilderberg Group. Those not with them, are offered incentives or threats - and I don't think they are above murder if they can't convince someone.
As for you & I, why do you think they passed a law where you can be held in detention indefinitely and without representation. "Don't be a troublemaker or else," is what that says to me.
