I for one have a difficult time understanding his "points" eg. GOPTP: I assume he means republican tea party, a non-entity. 36 years, the TEA party hasn't been around that long. There were tax reductions for everyone in that time period under Reagan. Raise interest on Pell Grants; who cares? Pell GRANTS do not have to be repaid so any amount of interest on zero is still zero. All of the rest is just a series of disjointed rants in very bad English, difficult to read and even more difficult, to frame a response since there is no discernable point for discussion.

Here is a link to an energy storage facility in western Michigan that was built in the early seventies. http://www.consumersenergy.com/content.aspx?id=6985 as far as amount produced the Province of Ontario produces enough electricity from wind alone to provide for the entire city of Chicago, thats plenty of shot gun wadding although I do not know how wadding shot guns converts to kilowatt hours, it seems like a sort of dumb analogy.

Your link is interesting however your argument is not valid. This facility uses energy to pump water uphill to a reservoir and then uses that stored water to drive generator turbines during demand periods. Any engineer knows that there is no 100% efficient machine so this facility consumes more electricity than it produces. Its only purpose is to equalize or supplement power generation during peak demand periods. The energy from wind turbines could be stored in a similar manner but the economics are significantly different plus it requires access to large amounts of water, to act as an energy storage medium. Water is a critical resource in most of the areas where wind farms are located.

It appears to be a public perception all over the U.S that our police force has gotten out of control? YES ? What needs to happen, is the citizen's in each city need to implement a committee called C.U.R.B. Meaning Citizen's United Review Board. With Power and Authority to hold accountable any Law Enforcement official who is involved with a situation that just happened in Ferguson. These citizen's of say twelve people have the authority to vote the termination of said official, by say nine votes, to fire these officers, and these officers, can never again be hired in any city to be an officer ever again, losing all privileges and benefits of said office. As our forefathers have said " When the people fear their Govt. you have Tyranny, When the Govt. fear the people you have Liberty.....voter's???Ready for a solution?????yeah/nay?....Peaceable Solution!

Your "solution" is a presumption of guilt on the part of the officer involved in the shooting which is patently false -- the grand jury has already ruled that there was no malfeasance on the part of the officer.

Who gets to choose this junta you propose and what happens to the rule of law, our court system and our protection from criminals? As bad as you think our present system is, under your proposed system we would all be buying more weapons and joining the nearest militant group.

[quote=JMHO]The lynch mob politics embraced by the Obama administration hit the streets of America.

An excellent summation! Do you see any means of return to sanity?
With the hate monger, racists occupying positions of prominence in our government and news sources I believe we are in danger of the solution being imposed by totalitarian control rather than rule of law.

The link below has some interesting video clips about the rioting around the country. The next cause celebre will undoubtedly be the person who rammed his way out of the mob of rioters, running over several people in the process. Considering what happened to the truck driver during the last riots I wouyld have driven a lot faster.

I read the article at the link you provided. It is interesting that the writer several time used the phrase ‘there was no provocation’ for various atrocities.

I was engaged in conversation with a Lebanese Moslem immigrant who is a naturalized citizen. This man came from a prominent banking family, is well educated, (he has a doctorate in finance) and has been in this country for at least 20 years.

I questioned him about the massacre in the Synagogue; he was immediately defensive, citing massacres of Arabs in Mosques in the past. I pointed out to him that these murderous thugs had killed three Americans. He exclaimed, ”Oh, but they were Jews”. I protested that they were human beings engaged in worship of their God. His response was that I was ignorant of the history (a common refrain in his conversations) and that I would understand these actions if I did.

He then lectured me on Middle East uprisings, characterizing them as people’s attempts to overthrow despots. The current rise of Isis was due to the Syrian despot releasing all the criminals from jail in an attempt at derailing a popular uprising. He further characterized the “Palestinians as an oppressed people who were forced to dig tunnels under the Israeli border to procure food.

This is an “educated” man. The allusions to historical atrocities are perpetuated and used as an excuse for any despicable act. The genocide between the Serbs and Coats in Bosnia was similarly based on a war fought around 700AD and was still being used to justify murderers. It is a selective memory; only those slights and injuries of Moslems are used as a justification for violence.

Considering this mind set, the prevalence of sneak attacks such as beheadings in the work place, running over and killing Soldiers in Canada and all the other terrorist activities, it is no wonder that Netanyahu has decided to drop the pretense that these Arabs are truly citizens of Israel.

When the intellectual top of a culture is this delusional there is no hope for peaceful co-existence.

Not my numbers, Skotty Wotty, all that is straight off of Wikipedia. You have a problem with the numbers, bitch at them. All I did was cut and paste.

Here, let me give you the link again. Go argue with them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_Charities_USA

You misinterpreted the link you presented. The statement given on Wiki was that 89% of their revenue was spent on programs, meaning direct support to clients. This number may be a little generous but it is not, as you interpreted, 89% in their pockets and 11% for those who are in need.

The link below shows that Catholic Charities spends roughly 75% of its revenues on services to the clients and 25% on salaries and fund raising, with fund raising accounting for approximately 16% of revenues.

The following link is a listing of the top 50 Charities in the US. Catholic Charities is number three. It is interesting to note that the CEO’s salary is $265 thousand per annum, with only two other CEO’s of the top 50, being paid less.

With regard to fraud involving the government, there are two major areas that account for an enormous amount of moneys wasted.

The first is the propensity of politicians to award contracts, subsidies, tax breaks and laws favorable to their “owners”. I use the term owners because they are bought and paid for in the process of getting into office. I see no resolution for this but we can possibly minimize the extent of such paybacks by a constitutional amendment creating term limits for any public office. Two terms maximum , all of them being four years, and once an individual has served in the Congress he is done. He does not serve in any Congressional capacity again. This could serve to mitigate the power amassed by any single individual or group of such long tenured individuals. It would also make the “investment” on the part of plutocrats, major corporations et al a major recurring expense and possibly deter them from contributing huge amounts of money to buy their political creatures.

At the same time we would remove all governmental perks such as special medical, pensions, other than social security, and add an amendment that any law passed applies equally to all citizens, including the government, at the same time, without exception. The Congress, Executive branch and the Courts will not have the authority to abrogate or provide exceptions to any provision of the equality law.

The second huge drain, the defrauding of government programs by those not entitled to them (the foreigners) could be combated in several ways. We need a national ID. That ID should be a requirement in every transaction involving State or Federal, taxpayer provided, govt supplied, programs. This ID should be designed in such a manner as to be difficult to counterfeit. The possession of a counterfeit ID or the creation of such ID should be a Federal crime with a no-discretion, mandatory, 50-year, no parole, sentence. Lack of such ID would prevent access to any government public health and welfare programs and it would help prevent illegal aliens and dead people from voting. Participating in a fraud designed to allow illegal access to benefits and rights would also carry the same penalty. As part of the ID registration, death would permanently retire that ID’s access. Any current dead voters would automatically be excluded.

And incidentally, all of the club Feds should be emptied of fraudsters and they should all be sent to maximum-security hellholes. These people’s stock in trade is betrayal of trust, a crime almost everyone regards as heinous, it is the reason we execute spies. Why should the fact that these people have been living off the sweat of others entitle them to minimally restrictive, comfortable, confinement?

As for the doctors generating false claims and the other practioners inflating the charges made to the government, I find it incredible that there is no program in place to note deviation from the norms, which would trigger investigations. I use tax software to prepare my taxes each year and it performs such checks and issues warnings if any category of deductions exceeds the norms. Why aren’t these out of scale charges triggering investigations, by the FBI in particular?

Take the fellows who are in charge of changing the threat level colors off that detail and put them on fraud watch. Without telling us what kind of threat is expected they do nothing but raise anxiety levels everywhere and create false perceptions of danger. This leads to more expenditures, to combat the perceived threats. Incidentally, we have no way of judging the efficacy of the actions we paid for, since we didn’t know what the threat was. We just pay for it and allow ass-holes to paw our bodies when we try to travel. They impose ridiculous restrictions, in the name of safety and security (Job Security), and remain politically correct by checking great Grandma while leaving Burka wearing what-evers untouched. Homeland Insecurity probably accounts for a significant portion of the fraud perpetrated against taxpayers.

Government Programs Have Become One Big Scammer Fraud Fest

We are being inundated by news stories of fraud perpetrated against numerous government programs. The feds themselves put Medicare and Medicaid fraud at approaching 10 percent of the programs’ budgets, or about $100 billion a year for the two programs. And I’m betting that’s on the low side.

And yet instead of solving this problem, President Obama harangues the country, and especially Republicans, for being unwilling to throw even more money at the federal government’s Fraud Fest.
