Sadly, it’s becoming more and more likely that the traitor, Donald Trump, will avoid jail and represent the disgraceful Republican Party in the most important election in American history this November. There’s actually some good news in this, which I’ll get to shortly, but not before loading up and taking another shot at our pathetic Justice Department, which has failed mightily to protect us from fascism, and punish the disgusting madman and his associates who tried to end our Democracy for good on January 6, 2021.
Democratic voters braved a pandemic in 2020, and saved our country from those who eagerly tried to burn it to the ground. Since then, we have been forced to helplessly watch as the weakling, Attorney General Merrick Garland, can barely be bothered to crawl out of the safety of his office, much less finish what we heroically started, by doing everything in his enormous powers to lock away arguably America’s greatest enemy in history.
I curse him with all my might. I never thought after that horrible, horrible January day that Trump would be anything more than a convicted felon right now.
Maybe justice will yet arrive in some form, and I pray every night that it does, but there has never been a more haunting example of the axiom: Justice delayed, is justice denied.
Now I’ll let my keyboard cool down a bit while I deliver the good news I referenced above, because there is another group of people who also fervently hoped that the inept Garland would do his job.
They are something called “Mainstream Republicans.”
They do exist, as shown in Colorado when 100 percent of the republicans voted to keep Tump off the presidential ballot in the state.
This group of feeble louts know full well that Trump is the weakest candidate they could possibly field in their bumbling attempt to unseat Joe Biden from the White House this year. They know that while his orange stink smells good to Republican voters in places like the cornfields of Iowa, most Americans have plenty of masks handy and are ready to deal with his rancid odor for good.
In the wake of Trump’s attack on America, gutless slobs like Senators Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham knew deep in their dark hearts that they were finally done with the soulless Trump. Soon, they could get back to quietly wrecking America without Trump stomping on them to take credit.
Trump had finally gone too far in his thuggish attempts to overthrow the government.
“The mob was fed lies,” McConnell bellowed in the wake of the attack. “They were provoked by the president and other powerful people.”
Rather than casting a vote to back up these big words in the subsequent Senate Impeachment Trial, they decided to take the coward’s way out, and deferred, hoping our courts would ultimately remove their party’s stinking heap of garbage. In their demented, very political way of thinking, when the courts did what we all expected them to, they could throw their hands in the air when MAGA came at them with all their guns and say, “Hey, we love Trump. We didn’t vote to remove him! Blame the courts!”
Now they are in a world of hurt, because the orange hemorrhoid is permanently attached to their collective asses, and we all must deal with the consequences of the rot they left in place that threatens the foundation of our Democracy.
So now what? Well, now Republicans are doing what they always do, and are damn good at: They are spinning and lying like crazy. The are circulating a very clever, and devious talking point. Have you heard this one?
I have now heard this about 15 times since the joke that was the Iowa Caucuses, from people like Nikki Haley, and again on Tuesday morning on NPR of all places, from GOP Consultant, Frank Luntz. "Americans don't want another Trump-Biden election." This might be the most Republican talking point ever.
Look, Republicans KNOW they can't win with the odious Traitor Trump as their nominee, because there is nothing that recommends him to the majority of Americans. So they are pivoting hard and trying desperately to cool support for Biden by making Americans believe they are both the same people -- that no good has come from the past four years under President Biden. They are just a couple of old guys.
This is a desperate, long-shot attempt to minimize Biden’s accomplishments the past three years, and throttle voter enthusiasm, but you can count on our pathetic media to swallow it whole just as they did on NPR today.
So let’s get this out of the way but quick: These two men are not the same, and in fact, couldn’t be more different.
The difference in them is STARK, and easily provable. For instance, one candidate is a family man, who goes to church each Sunday, the other man is a deviant who stiffs his caddie on the golf course every Sunday after a night of ogling blondes at his garish club, where he celebrates himself, and hides classified documents in his golden bathroom.
One man got us into a pandemic that killed millions by lying about it for months and then suggesting we drink Lysol, the other helped us get through it by leaning on science and compassion. One stands for Democracy, the other attacks it. One stands for women's rights and voting rights, the other attacks them. One campaigned on getting infrastructure done, the other actually DID IT.
I could go on forever here, but I am sure you get the point, dear readers. By allowing this heated crap to spread that "Americans don't want another Trump-Biden election" we are helping to do the work of the devil. It must be stopped dead in its tracks now, and before it’s too late.
So a suggestion: When you hear the Republican trope "Americans don't want another Trump-Biden election," I suggest you politely push back and say: "Wrong. REPUBLICANS don't want another Trump-Biden election, because they know Biden will once again take their orange clown to the woodshed."
Sadly, it’s becoming more and more likely that the... (
