If you carry a firearm, why bother concealing it? Oh, that's right, because open carry is illegal in most States. Anyone care to hazard a guess why that might be? And while we're at it, why do I need to ask bureaucratic permission to carry a firearm, concealed or not? Seems to me the deterrent value of a nice scary-looking sidearm would be a benefit worth the extra weight. As an aside, I find people are far more polite to each other when everyone is armed.

How so? Catholics have a stance on birth control and therefore have established a link between their religion and birth control (they're against it, by the way). IMHO, it is better to take a pill and prevent fertilization than to allow an egg to receive sperm and then murder the resultant human being at a later date. That, once again, IMHO, is where the Catholics got it wrong.
