Absolutely correct. Provider costs drive this whole argument. And until they are brought under control, we all head toward bankruptcy. Stay healthy!
This argument, and the remarks by the congressman completely miss the point. It doesn't matter who gets covered, how they are covered or what they are covered for. The issue is the cost of healthcare. The costs of healthcare are going to bankrupt this country regardless of who pays (you, your employer, the government). And until these costs are brought under control, everyone loses. And the best way to control it is with the person with the most impact and influence. And that would be the government. If the healthcare industry gets paid by a single payer, they either accept it...or do something else. Not complicated.
