Arlington National Cemetery short 30,000 wreaths due to lack of funding

The nonprofit responsible for placing wreaths on 230,000 headstones at Arlington National Cemetery expects to be 30,000 wreaths short this year due to a lack of funding.

Wreaths Across America said Wednesday night that it is $450,000 short of reaching its goal for its Tuesday deadline. More than 100 volunteers plan to place the wreaths on individual headstones on Dec. 12, and Wreaths Across America, which is not government sponsored, was supposed to raise $3.45 million to finish the project, The Washington Examiner reported.

The group’s team captain Bre Kingsbury said they are hoping for more donors to step forward before the fundraising deadline. Each wreath is $15 and donors can contribute directly at wreathsacrossamerica.org.

“It’s a great way to honor our fallen friends and to pay tribute to them and to make sure that the families of the fallen know that they’re not forgotten, especially at the holidays, but all throughout the year,” Ms. Kingsbury told Fox News.

I would like to ask some questions and I ask them with respect and for the purpose of better understanding your views. I would like to begin with three questions:

Note: I attended an evangelical Christian boarding school and read and studied the Bible for long periods daily. I found that great morals were taught, particularly in the New Testament by Jesus and some terrible immorality and behaviors primarily in the Old Testament.
I assume that when you say, God, you mean the Christian God. Is that right?

What would you choose as the ten most important morals your religious beliefs teach?

Why did you decide to choose the Christian God from all the gods humans have worshiped and worship now?

Well, the media sure kept US well informed about the 680,000 un-vetted, undocumented Muslim "refugee/terrorists" that "BHB" was using American taxpayer money to quietly and deceptively transport to America over the last 5 years, reconreb. 680,000 un-vetted, undocumented "refugee/terrorists," from war-torn Muslim countries, and the ONLY vetting that was done was to make SURE they WEREN'T CHRISTIANS. Yup, the same Christian's who are now being chased down by Muslim terrorists, captured, raped, enslaved, sex-slaved, crucified, stoned, whipped to death, buried or burned alive, drowned in cages, thrown off high cliffs or buildings, mutilated, dismembered, shot, hanged or decapitated; or all of the above.

680,000 un-vetted, undocumented, "NON-CHRISTIAN" Muslims were already transported to America; and that's to say nothing of those over-staying their VISAS, or jumping our purposely porous borders. And the "entitlements" are "to-die-for." Free transportation, housing, food, medical, education, Mosques, millions of acres of land for "training" camps and non-assimilating "no-go" housing zones, weapons? F & F??? Who knew??? And how many more are being quietly transported to America as "WE" speak??? And how many wives and concubines are included??? And how many; "DEATH TO AMERICA," Jihad, military trained children??? Hummmmmm. "Fundamental transformation"??? You tell me!!!

I apologize as well. I too am conservative on most things, and liberal on others, however, I feel that liberals have gone to a much darker place in recent years. A place that doesn't fit within my definition of morality. Saul Alinsky's "rules for radicals" seems to be the progressive bible. Obama, and Hillary both have claimed to have learned a lot from the book, and some of the tactics promoted are seen a lot in liberal's responses. It is my belief that liberals use it more than anyone else. Happy Thanksgiving.


RESPONSE:
I thought we agreed that damn near everyone is some liberal and some conservative in various proportions. There are those who lean more or less liberal, but there are no pure liberals and there are those who lean more or less conservative but there are no pure conservatives.
I don’t know how you define liberal to come to the conclusion that leaning liberal doesn’t fit with your definition of morality? When I use the word, liberal, I mean open to change and caring about our fellow human beings. What is the darker place to which you believe those tending left have moved?
The focus of Alinsky’s efforts and writings have been to teach people with little to no political power and no money how to engage and negotiate with the more wealthy and politically powerful. He taught non violent ways of sharing power as did Thoreau, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King. Alinsky and his methods helped bring an end to the Viet Nam war and I thought of that as a good thing to accomplish. We used Alinsky’s method to gain our freedom from Great Britain and that was a very good thing.
I have asked many people who believe Alinsky is a bad word and some have read some about him, but I have yet to find anyone who is aware of the historical context of his efforts and has read Rules For Radicals. The rich and politically powerful definitely do not want anyone to read it and most don’t. Those leaning liberal do use it more than anyone else, because the rich and powerful already have political power and wealth and we want to share it.

Although everyone seems to want to blame the CO2 on climate change here is the real reason.

This whole climate change scenario is a farce. It is called the Milankovitch Cycle.
The Milankovitch cycles are caused by changes in the shape of the Earth's orbit around the sun, the tilt of the Earth's rotation axis, and the wobble of our axis. The mass and movement of the other planets in our solar system actually affect the Earth orbit just as our planetary mass similarly affects their orbits.

If you research the climate of the earth over the 4.5 billion years that it has been in existance you will see that there been three times that the earth was completely covered by ice and there have been a lot of times the earth has had no ice caps on the north and south poles. If the earth warms up to the point that the ice caps melt people in low areas are just joining to have to move. If that does happen the climate will change because of all the fresh water flowing into the ocean. That is a different subject however.

I apologize I thought you might know something about Alinsky, his work, or how he fit into the history of his time.

I agree, we do seem to attack each other personally, however, you didn't say you thought we should stop doing that, or, is it that you want to continue to attack me personally and you think I should not attack you personally?

Do you actually believe those who are more liberal are more apt to attack others personally than those who are more conservative? Amazing!!

I consider myself quite conservative and I am proudly liberal on some issues and in some circumstances. People who think humans can be separated into liberal and conservatives have their heads firmly inserted into a warm, moist, dark place.
