There seems to be no provision in Article V to mandate just how a Convention of States must be organized, how many representatives per state can be selected by their respective legislators, nor who the leadership would be, nor what the rules of order would be. These issues must be decided in advance, I believe, or else there would be maximum chance for disorder and uncertain results. Would there be a Parliamentarian, and how would he be selected? Who would establish an agenda, and how would it be ratified by the states before commencing the show? Exactly how would the agenda be protected from unwanted changes?

I support the idea here, but I have one concern: can the agenda be fully controlled and fully directed towards the goal of curbing government power, or might it get hijacked by the Left into some radical new provisions that would mar the process and ultimately cause its rejection?

Yep dont mess with that diabetes crap.
Did you or do you smoke ?

I thank you for your prayers, my friend, they help!
The wife and I have been married for 62 years, practically a lifetime!
I used to smoke heavily, but quit in 1978 while still in Holland where smoking is all too common. Smoke-filled conference rooms were a big hazard.
For diabetes I use 4,000 units of cinnamon daily, and that has worked very well for me. My A1C is under 6% and has been for many years.

Is a Second Civil War Coming?
By Jeff Lukens

Civil wars are horrendous and bloody affairs. That's why we should avoid them. They happen when two sides cannot settle on who runs the country. When they can't reconcile the matter through elections, the country falls apart. When one side does not accept the election results, we have a countdown to a civil war.

This is the thesis put forth by journalist Daniel Greenfield. It rings true on many levels.

Does the fact that Democrats are rejecting a duly elected Republican president really mean they don't accept the results of any election they don't win? If so, we may be already nearing America's Second Civil War.

It is no secret that Democrats and Republicans are more ideologically divided than in recent years. Parts of the country detest the other parts. Coastal elites dislike flyover country. The blue states despise the red states, and vice versa.

We may now be near a point comparable to 1860. Modern Democrats hate President Trump as much as the Democrats of old hated President Lincoln. Democrats repudiated Lincoln for opposing slavery, and modern Democratic leaders are repudiating Lincoln's belief that the government is of the people, for the people, and by the people. Then as now, Democrats are on the wrong side of history.

The average conservative and the average liberal disagree on the vast majority of the issues, and in the few cases where they can agree, each won't support the other out of sheer tribalism for his side. Since Democrats can't win the argument with reason and facts, they try to intimidate us into silence. While Trump is their focus, we should know that the loathing is really against normal everyday Americans.

The Constitution plays a central role in the disagreement. On the right are those who believe in its use as a restraint on government that can be altered only by a broad consensus through the amendment process. Conservatives believe that natural rights are created by God and that government cannot invent or alter them.

On the Left are those who believe in the living Constitution. This is a notion that the document is outdated and should change easily. The main method for doing this would be judicial rulings bypassing Congress and the voters. Basically, they just make it up as they go along.

The Left's reach is broad. Leftists have been able to take over schools and indoctrinate our young people. They have taken over nearly all the news and entertainment media. The conservative side, conversely, has lost in these areas because it never fights back with the ruthlessness of the Left.

Lawlessness is now reaching across the United States, which the news almost totally ignores. The same networks that spent two years with wall-to-wall coverage to push the Russia collusion hoax are now refusing to report the documented attempt to remove our duly elected president by means of a Deep State silent coup.

The Left overwhelms the courts with legal actions designed to bog them down so that nothing conservative can be accomplished by Trump. Democrats will concede nothing without a confrontation. Lefty goons clash and threaten aggression with open immunity. They shout down speakers at colleges; they block airports, bridges, and highways. They take over college buildings, offices, and state capitals, and they terrorize individuals in their homes. Not only does their violence succeed, but they succeed just by threatening violence.

Democrats threaten the peace by advocating programs intended to deny the rights of average people to speak and worship freely and to defend themselves. Never mind that millions of Americans are ready to hazard life and limb to preserve these rights. Moreover, many of them vowed to do so when they served in the armed forces. When push comes to shove, they will not shy away from defending their families, their homes, their values, and their country.

While leftist liken their behavior to combating tyranny, they are actually combating anyone with whom they disagree. While their socialist agenda is losing ground with average Americans, leftists are doubling down, assaulting verbally, and sometimes physically, anyone who opposes them.

Ask yourself, why are liberals always angry? Why are they so vulgar? Why do they slander and push fake labels like racist, sexist, and homophobic? Why do they engage in "emotional outbursts" when challenged? Why are they violent?

The answer is that when they don't have facts to support their arguments, they must resort to intimidation. The narrative is designed to keep people in a constant state of fear, thereby forcing rage and violence. They want us divided by race, class, religion, political affiliation, and more.

All they care about is control, and they will do anything to hold on to it. They want to keep people poor and in need of government assistance. The bigger the government, the more power leftists possess. When we are in need, we are weak. Divided, we are weak. When we are weak, we do not fight back. When we are united, strong, and independent, we think for ourselves and challenge what we are told to believe.

This is a dangerous time. Americans in 1859 had no idea of the cataclysm that lay ahead for them just a few years later. Nothing is certain, and hopefully we will avoid a similar disaster. We may have differences, but America is profoundly good and needs only sensible corrections that reasonable people can agree upon. We hope and pray that our differences do not escalate into a Second Civil War.

Besides Hypertension, Emphysema, Diabetes (under control), and Migraines, I am doing better than the average I believe for my age. I am the caregiver for my wife, so I don't dare go down yet!

I didn't know Pence was a CFR, but it stands to reason he would be; he is still first in line to move up right now. It is the cadre of super-elites that bothers me. Makes me wonder whether Trump can succeed against such power and wealth. We shall see!

You pointed out one key to our hopes and asperations: who and what follows Trump? I haven't a clue. If he is impeached and convicted while in office, Pence will be there. At the moment, I do not see the way after a 2020 loss, or after 2024 if he wins. (Not to be obnoxious about it, I most likely won't be around then, since I am working on 89 now.)

You also have ZERO plan for what comes next when he leaves
Resigns
Gets impeached
Or loses in 2020 !

When you can come to terms with that reality look me up, we have a plan.

A wewe plan I'll bet! Incidentally, MAGA applies forever, not just during the Trump era.
Oh, and the Pope isn't my leader. It is apparent that your reality needs work. Now I have other things to do than to continue this nonsense.

I dont have the time or the patience to show you or post the level of Lies they’ve been feeding you all about all the above for 35+ years so lets just say that most of us and the Groups are now Shifting to Full blown Moratorium Here:

10 Year Moratorium:
https://www.onepoliticalplaza.com/t-153336-1.html

A full moratorium does several things: almost none of them good. We need migrant workers in the fields; we must welcome professionals and gifted students as we are not producing them fast enough for the modern economy; we will still need the barriers, surveillance gear and Border Patrols since a moratorium means even greater attention to border incursions, and so on. That shift is simply unreasonable. The greater problems remain, while the economy suffers. We must be intelligent enough to solve problems on the go.

1. Some immigration is a good thing, such as by highly skilled people that we need, allowing migrant workers to help with harvests, allowing students to study in our schools and universities, diplomatic needs, cultural group tours, international corporation needs, technician support for foreign products, tourism, and so on.
2. There are two basic kinds of legal immigration: permanent and temporary, and then there is the illegal kind. Legal immigration is controlled by issuing visas that spell out the conditions of entry and exit,
3. There are two kinds of illegal entry: sneaking over the border, and overstaying a legal visa that has an entry and leaving time specified.
4. Illegal entry is the biggest problem. Control of the border to prevent illegal entry is necessary, using border agents, sensors, boats, aircraft, cars and trucks, walls and strong surveillance at major entry points---whatever is needed. An estimate of our illegal population is around 20 million people.
5. A major issue that must be solved is how many legal visas we should issue yearly? This includes the number of illegal immigrants granted a stay of departure at a court hearing to determine whether they can remain or not, and under what conditions.
6. A second major issue is how many foreign citizens we should allow to become naturalized citizens per year, and what qualifications they must have. Of all the qualifications, assimilation and learning English are vital.
7. How we apportion the number of visas between nations is a contentious issue, as is how we apportion visas among skill types regardless of nation.
8. Virtually no tracking of aliens with temporary visas or with a court date for illegals is a very serious shortfall, and it must be corrected.
9. The most vexing problem of all is what to do about the 20 million illegals currently living and working in the nation? Amnesty and eventual citizenship is one idea, and at the other pole of thought is taking, say, a ten-year period to ship all illegals we can find back to their home country.
There are significant problems with these ideas, not the least of which is that either idea, if attempted, has a massive cost to our taxpayers, and also our industries. This assumes that the current cost of the existing illegals to the taxpayer outweighs by far their contribution to the tax base, primarily because the majority of illegals pay little or no taxes since they earn so little, and they take full advantage of our schools and hospitals for years.
The cost of finding, feeding, and supporting 20 million illegal aliens while they are being processed and eventually transported to their country of origin is massive as well, and the idea presents numerous serious legal and humanitarian problems.
10. Two other vexing problems are the Anchor Baby, where those born in the US by illegal aliens are automatically US citizens, then Chain Migration allows them to pull their relatives into the US legally, an act that can be used by naturalized citizens as well.
11. Illegal entry by gangsters such as MS-13 members is yet another problem, and it is worse than most people realize. Over 400,000 criminal illegals were caught and sent back across the border in 2018. We are not sure how many made it into the US and are living somewhere and practicing their criminal acts. This is tantamount to an invasion!
12. President Trump has vowed to build a wall of sufficient length and height to act as a barrier to large scale group entry of illegals, which would make patrolling the border much more efficient, and make surveillance systems more effective as well. Parallel efforts to increase the number of Immigration Judges, and Border Patrol Officers are included.
13. My own view concerning the existing illegals is to set up the means to determine which illegal aliens are law-abiding, productive, and assimilating well over a defined period of time and give them a route to citizenship, while those who do not meet these and other requirements should be considered for immediate deportation.
14. Pleading their case for asylum based on hearsay evidence should result in denial of entry. There must be concrete rules developed for allowing entry of asylum seekers. It is obvious that we cannot accept all asylum seekers in the world, for that matter, we cannot accept all that would like to live here.

I forgot that I also couldn't eat steak anymore. I wonder about sheep, and buffalo meat?
I refuse to eat horsemeat though. I plan to open a long string of way houses coupled with exchange horses for the stagecoaches so they can keep up the pace. Thus I will also have to open up a number of horse ranches to supply the way houses, and some farms to supply oats to the ranches and way houses. Indeed, I will have to set up some horse-shoe and blacksmiths to keep the horses properly shod, and line up some vets to tend to the sick horses.

I wonder how many cowboys and coachmen are still around?
How many stage coaches make up for a 747 planeload? And how long does my business last before electric railroads and electric busses lace the nation from city to city?

I must thank AOC and the dems for tipping me off to a great opportunity!
