But I neither agree with your statement, nor with your proposed method of winning.
I think you are wrong. We do not have to become like the Democrats in order to win. We need to counter them to defeat them.....not emulate them.
Honest truthful men are so very rare in politics because almost all of them are originally lawyers who, by training (and I think inclination) DO believe that the end justifies the means.
Honest and truthful men with common sense rarely enter politics. Ronald Reagan was such a man, and is one of the exceptions that prove my point.
I am not saying that a lawyer can not be a good, honest, truthful man......but ones that become politicians are rare. I think DeSantis may be one.
Trump was a business man in 2016. Unfair, unjust, and unethical events, circumstances, and attacks by the left changed him, and he is now a politician.
We need a Ronald Reagan, or the nearest we can find to him.

Morality is what an individual chooses to do or not to do. How history is written is irrelevant to the morality of the action or inaction.
Hypothetical example:
A psychic meets Hitler as a child, sees his future, and kills him before he can become a German dictator, saving millions of lives. The lives saved is good, but it does not change or justify the fact that the psychic murdered a child.
If the extremely rare case happens, and circumstances force a person into doing something immoral for the greater good, then that person should accept the consequences for his crime, recognizing that it IS a crime, and knowing the end does NOT justify the means....not from a moral perspective.

So the left believes. Win at any cost, including our own morality. The end justifies the means. Do as i say, not as I do. It's not my fault I'm cheating....you started it.
And a hundred other justifications for choosing the wrong methods.

Personally, I would rather take up arms to end election fraud rather than choose for our side to just be BETTER at election fraud. If it is even possible to be better at cheating than the Democrats.

Yes, they do. Do you really want Republicans who win by being just like Democrats? They won't.
Do you really think that they are losing because they are not being nasty and ruthless and dishonest enough?
If we pursue the Democratic model of lie and exaggerate in order to terrify voters into voting for us, then all we will accomplish is drive the decent and honorable and honest voters to stay home in disgust.

I said NOTHING about not being brutal, but be brutally HONEST. I said nothing about being gentle, passive, or uncommitted. A strong man can be honest, blunt, solid, and yet never lie or be dishonest.
That's the kind of candidate that we need. One like Reagan.

We should not do the same thing. We are BETTER than that. Everyone knows that Biden and his Gestapo-like Democrat administration does and says enough things bad for America that we have no need to lie or exaggerate, and we shouldn't in any case. The ends do NOT justify the means.

You're on the right path although media supplied inflation numbers are bovine residue. Ask yourself (or your friends) if they know of anything ar the grocery store that they like(d) but that has doubled in price over the last couple of years? Some things go up and down (eggs) but I'll toss you an example. I love those rectangular 1 person Totinos Pizzas. Not that long ago they were $1 each. Yesterday at Wally World, $1.97. Fast food (an occasional vice)...fagettaboutit. Home and especially auto insurance? Here in TX my renewals are through the roof though I've made no claims. That rare occasion when we go out to dinner with friends. Utilities. Whenever I see some News Tool talking about inflation numbers in the media, I have to count to 20 to keep my blood pressure from spiking. Yeah...it used to be 10. Thank you Brandon.
