<quote>Is that avatar a picture of you?</quote>

Good evening, "OldRoy,"

I'm really reluctant to call you that. It seems disrespectful...

That is a picture of me, several years ago (in this decade), taken in Montevideo, Uruquay. I've never had a moderate day in my life.

I was trying to maintain a pleasantly blank expression, as my cheeseburger had just been served to me, with a fried egg perched on top of the burger, apparently a South American thing, because before flying back to Kennedy Airport from Buenos Aires, Argentina, the following week, I had an open-face roast beef sandwhich, and it had a hard boiled egg sliced across the top of it.

Sorry to get off topic.

So when there really is a high-probability threat and the government warns us, we tend to dismiss that too. Government cries wolf way too often.

I believe those of us who are outside the beltway have the innate intelligence to understand if there's a genuine crisis.

Those inside the beltway may well be toast.

According to the Koran (or Qur'an)

9:123 - Fight unbelievers who are near to you.
Different translation: Believers! Make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Let them find harshness in you.
Another source: Ye who believe! Murder those of the disbelievers....

5:54 - O believers, take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Those of you who make them his friends is one of them. God does not guide an unjust people.

9:5 Then, when the sacred months have passed, slay the idolaters (infidels) wherever ye find them, and take them (captive), and besiege them, and prepare for them each ambush. But if they repent and establish worship [of Allah]and pay the poor-tax, then leave their way free. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

I watched thirty of the forty five minute video...

They have a point when they say until now, American media had never treated the Chechnyans as Muslim Jihadists, but have considered them "freedom fighters," seeking their independence from Russia.

Since 9/11, I've observed with some irritation, that our media has consistently treated Russia as the agressor, ignoring all the horrific attacks upon Russia by Chechnyans, and ignoring the information that Saudi Arabian members of al-Qaeda have been there as trainers and financiers of terrorist activity, almost as if Russia was still our cold-war enemy.

These brothers are life-long Muslims, with access to the Qur'an. That's all anyone needs to be "radicalized." The
admonitions of Muhammad throughout the Qur'an instruct all believers to fulfill their duty and kill all infidels, unless they convert to Islam.

Anyone who decides to take the Qur'an seriously could do so, whether they are in the U.S., or any other country.

Hi Jake,

Unless we can wrest the leadership of the GOP away from the RINOs who have an iron grip on it at present, in time to shape the 2014 election, there won't be much to celebrate, but never give up!

At least you can come online and vent.

Montana is a beautiful state.

The national media has no credibility, therefore it can't be eroded.

They are so selective in the topics they choose to cover, and so biased to the left in reporting those few topics, nothing is learned from watching them.

I often watch BBC News 6 to 8 am. I learn about elections in South America, our own hemisphere, that the US news doesn't even mention.

They also have much better coverage of the European countries (of course) and the Middle East.

They have a liberal bias, but at least they have a journalist's perspective: Who, What, Where, When and Why?

I've sat here preoccupied with the computer and two or three reference books, with the TV on as background, and had a car-chase come on cable news for thirty minutes, without the name of the city or state ever being mentioned, only streets and cross streets...

How much more can they erode from there?

I wouldn't watch the WHCD because Obama would be speaking.

It's bad enough to have him show up unexpectedly in the middle of the Super Bowl or the National Championship Basketball game.

That envisioned liberal utopia is one step up on Atlantis, isn't it?

Jihad has been with us since 9/11, and even before, since the U.S.S. Cole, the two U.S. embassies in Africa. On Aug. 7, 1998, the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, were bombed by terrorists, leaving 258 people dead and more than 5,000 injured.

Even before that, the pilots we lost in Somalia's helicoptors were shot down by snipers trained by Al Qaeda.

http://waronterrornews.typepad.com/home/2008/10/black-hawk-down.html

On October 3rd, in 1993, Our Elite Forces embarked on a routine mission to capture a brutal Warlord. The day was anything but routine in the opening salvo against an enemy we did not recognize: Al-Qaeda.

We restricted our Troops in ways that we never should: They could not engage an enemy that was attacking unarmed civilians but were required to wait until the enemy were actually shooting at them. The CinC refused them necessary equipment requested by the General "because it would appear too aggressive."

A Jihad our fraudulent government refuses to recognize is still a Jihad.

This president sees Islam as the school he attended in Indonesia, ages 6 to 10, as the religion of his father and stepfather, and of his stepsister, with whom his family spends Christmas in Hawaii.

His vision of Christianity is the strident sermons of the "Liberation Theology" church in Chicago which he attended for twenty years. He learned a "marxist" gospel, rather than the grace inherit in the actual gospel of Jesus Christ.

However, he has free will, and is without excuse.

Now, that they've spent it all; everything that should have been secured for the future, and have borrowed trillions from nations who barely hide their desire to see our demise, these dreamers should be very concerned for the future, but they are truly humanists, who believe they are progressing to become gods.

I've never understood from where these dreamers believe the taxes to fund their utopia will materialize...

to fund their unearned social programs, or to even repay the social security that was actually paid into the government, year after year is an obvious impossibility unless, somehow new leadership is obtained.

Now, they're salivating over the billions they will receive in insurance premiums, for they intend to drive all private health insurance out of business.

The goal since day one has been the insurance premiums... All that money, and the new programs they wish to fund with it.

It won't be paid out for medical care. That's not their priority.

After overtaxed corporations and small businesses alike are no longer allowed to realize a profit,
do they really believe executives will remain in their responsible positions, with no material reward,
or that employees without salaries will work for eight hours, or at all.

The liberal Utopia is but a dream, and will become a nightmare.
...
Even now, some await the Great Vindication of George W. Bush. The about-face on Harry Truman is a supposed precedent — and clearly this is what Bush thinks will happen. Maybe WMD will emerge from the Iraqi desert. Maybe all the economic data were wrong. In the meantime, Bush is at ease with himself — always his gauge for right or wrong, smart or stupid. Among the many things he lacks is self-doubt. It is a gift.
The serenity of George W. Bush is a gift, but from a source Mr. Cohen hasn't considered.

Jesus said in John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful."

As for the WMD, it was shown on satellite being taken from Iraq, through Syria, and into Lebanon. It was in a caravan of large cargo trucks controlled by Russian forces. I saw the reports shown on cable news a few times in 2003. Then, they disappeared into the ether.

Somehow, the liberal press always missed such reports, although it's still online.

Report: U.S suspects Iraqi WMD in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley
U.S. intelligence suspects Iraq's weapons of mass destruction have finally been located.

Unfortunately, getting to them will be nearly impossible for the United States and its allies, because the containers with the strategic materials are not in Iraq.

Instead they are located in Lebanon's heavily-fortified Bekaa Valley, swarming with Iranian and Syrian forces, and Hizbullah and ex-Iraqi agents.

Next: The subprime mortgage crisis for which George W. is blamed to this day, was created by the Community Reinvestment Act, signed by Jimmy Carter in 1977. The CRA intimidated banks to meet the credit needs of their communities. Federal banking regulators literally bullied them into approving mortgages to unqualified minority applicants by threatening approval of their routine requests to merge or to open new branches. The bill's political supporters believed that CRA would counter the presumed racial discrimination in lending, which they justified by widely publicizing a 1990 Federal Reserve Bank of Boston finding that blacks and Hispanics of similar income experienced higher mortgage-denial rates than whites. Mortgage worthiness, however, is additionally based on total indebtedness ratio to income, and past debt repayment history.

The Clinton administration re-energized the Community Reinvestment Act into a powerful mandate reshaping American cities, as Senate Banking Committee chairman Phil Gramm put it, "a vast extortion scheme against the nation's banks." Under its provisions, U.S. banks initially committed nearly $1 trillion for inner-city and low-income mortgages and real estate development projects, most of it funneled through a nationwide network of left-wing community groups, such as Acorn, [for whom Obama worked while in Chicago) who taught their low-income clients that the financial system is their enemy and, implicitly, that government, rather than their own efforts, should be the means to their well-being.

htttp://www.city-journal.org/html/10_1_the_trillion_dollar.html

When President Bush tried to investigate the financial health of the country's financial institutes, including Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, Barney Frank and Chris Dodd assured him there was no problem. Their political maneuvering ensured that inner-city neighborhoods stayed poor by discouraging the kinds of investment that might have benefited them, and ultimately came within a hair of bringing down the world's economy, and President Bush is still blamed.

A September 11, 2003 New York Times article shows that President Bush proposed “the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago.” His proposal: An agency within the Treasury Department to supervise mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Fearing that mortgages would no longer be available to people who were unable to pay them back, Democrats eventually killed the proposal. The current meltdown in the mortgage industry is a direct result of giving mortgages to people who could not pay them back, a practice protected by Congressional Democrats.

Both entities were taken over by the government, a move that puts trillions of taxpayer dollars at risk. Over the years, the President's repeated attempts to reform the supervision of these entities were thwarted by the legislative maneuvering of those who emphatically denied there were problems with the GSEs.

Frank, in his most detailed explanation to date about his actions, said in an interview he missed the warning signs because he was wearing ideological blinders. He said he had worried that Republican lawmakers and the Bush administration were going after Fannie and Freddie for their own ideological reasons and would curtail the lenders’ mission of providing affordable housing.

So many lies about George W. Bush.

He was far from perfect, but so much more perfect than the unmitigated liar presently in the White House.

We’ve tried everything since 9/11 except real war. War is the answer to Jihad.

So who cares about Islam? Muslims, Jihadists, Islamophiles, Leftists who naturally side with anti-American ideologies, guilt-ridden fellow travelers who think America is usually in the wrong, and religionists who believe any religion is better than none. But since Leftists and Islamophiles usually know very little about Islam, who truly cares about Islam? Those who are at war with us.

In the end, I care about Islam and the Muslim world as much as the Muslim world cares about America and the West. This is war. We can’t be on both sides. I’m not rooting for Islam or the Muslim world.

I’m rooting for us.

Statistics of Human Abortions and Anti-Abortion Violence

http://prolife.com/

The Supreme Court of the United States ruled in 1973 that the homicide of human children in the womb was a legal event, and would, from thenceforth be the law of the land.

Since that time, during the last forty years, there have been fifty five million (55,000,000) life ending abortions of tiny helpless human beings in the U.S.

I have heard this refrain over and over, "Oh, the violence of the murdering "Christians."

They're identical to radical Islam.
Here are the figures, as of today, from the Pro-Choice-Homicide website and the Pro-Life website regarding the deaths of unborn infants (55,000,000) and the number of murders of abortion doctors since 1973 (8). That's right, there have been eight!

That's eight too many, but in a period of forty years, it's not in any way equitable with either the murder of infants or the murderous rampage of radical Islam, which in 2007,was 60,000 since 2001, worldwide. http://Militant Islam Monitor.org
http://www.prochoice.org/pubs_research/usage.html

Since 1973, there have been, over a period of forty (40.0) years, a total of two hundred (200.0) abortion clinic arsons or bombings.

That is an average of five (5.0) abortion clinic arsons or bombings each year.

In addition, there have been eight (8.0) total murders since 1973.

That is an average of one (1.0) abortion doctor/provider murdered every five (5.0) years,

They also report anti-abortion extremists have employed butyric acid to vandalize clinics and have sent letters threatening anthrax to frighten clinic staff.

Butyric acid (from Greek βούτυρο, meaning "butter"), also known under the systematic name butanoic acid, is a carboxylic acid found in milk, especially goat, sheep and buffalo's milk, butter, Parmesan cheese, and as a product of anaerobic fermentation, It has an unpleasant smell and acrid taste, with a sweetish aftertaste (similar to ether). It can be detected by mammals with good scent detection abilities (such as dogs) at 10 ppb, whereas humans can detect it in concentrations above 10 ppm.

Hi "Chardo,"

Thank you for asking.

I worked in a professional office setting with Muslims, including a Muslim director, for almost a decade, years ago, long before I retired. I lived it. I received a qur'an as a gift at the time, at a time they were not readily available as they are now.

To know who someone is you have to understand what they believe, and what the basis of that faith is, the founder.

The Bible says that God is love. He is also righteous, and he is just. I looked at the index in the back of the qur'an, down the Ls, where the word, Love should appear. It wasn't there, not even once, but there were one and one/half pages of the wrath and ire of Allah.

I studied the qur'an thoroughly. I know what it says and what it doesn't.

The god of Allah is not the God of the Bible, nor is he the God of Judaism.

Incidentally, the Chardos, as I'm sure you know, are Indian Christians from Goa, India's smallest state, which borders the Arabian Sea... They are a warrior class; motto: Unity and Freedom.

A radical Christian would be one who , through HIs grace, tightly adheres to the teaching of Jesus, in as far as humanly possible.

The less than a dozen individuals who have attacked abortion
clinics/doctors did not understand:

Luke 9:54 -56: When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, "Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them?" But Jesus turned and rebuked them,"You do not understand the spirit you have received." And he said, "You do not know what kind of spirit you are of, for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them."

As for homosexuals, Muhammad commanded that homosexuals be stood up against a stone wall, and that it be collapsed upon them.

Incidentally, to condemn practitioners of a religion is different than condemning the religion. "All have fallen short of the glory of God."

Study the founder of that religion, his life and instructions to understand the religion.

Islamic people are, as a general rule, much better than Muhammad, unless snared by his "satanic verses."

Christians are, 100%, far less than Jesus Christ.

I understand your need to be cautious. It's commendable, and I try to practice it too.

I'm a "bible thumper", (Bill O'Reilly's worst nightmare), and every word contained therein is a revelation from the Almighty, so I'm not hung up on the concept. It is the source that must be authenticated.

So far, the Boston bombing involves Saudi Arabia, Iran and Chechnya. There are probably more.

I worked in an office with muslins, including a muslim director for almost a decade years ago, and one thing must always be kept in mind: "Islam Is One."

George W. Bush was and is an honorable man possessing morality and values who, following the unapologetic debauchery of Bill Clinton, returned dignity to the presidential office he occupied. During his presidency, the world respected the U.S. and our enemies learned to fear us, which is a good thing.

At the present time, the derision and scorn expressed by the Muslim countries toward Obama after his attempts to engage, befriend and/or bribe them is tangible toward the United States. The most recent example comes from Al Hafiz TV, an Egyptian Islamic station. During a roundtable discussion on the U.S. and foreign aid to Egypt, an Islamic Salafi cleric, insisted that the U.S. must be treated contemptuously, like a dhimmi, a conquered infidel; and that Egypt must make the U.S. conform to its demands; so that all the money the U.S. offers to Egypt in foreign aid could be accepted as rightfully earned jizya, the paid poll tax the Qur'an requires that all conquered peoples pay to their Muslim master . (So much for gratitude). http://www.faithfreedom.org/?p=2418

It is because of George W. Bush's basic decency that he is despised by those who lack values and believe all things are relative. There is no absolute good. There is no absolute evil. There can be no judgement of morality, or lack of it, thereof, and those who would indulge in proper behavior and belief are guilty of "hate," - not hatred - which would be grammatically correct, but "hate."

President Bush unexpectedly became a wartime president, changing his entire agenda and priorities during his two terms. Had Bill Clinton accepted Sudan's offer to turn Osama Bin Laden over to the United States in April, 1996, or subsequent opportunities that were given him to "take him out," it is very unlikely President Bush would have been presented with the necessity of being a wartime president, and almost 3,000 deceased Americans would today be alive with their families.

Bill Clilnton testified in a speech in February, 2002: "At the time, 1996, he had committed no crime against America, so I did not bring him here because we had no basis on which to hold him, though we knew he wanted to commit crimes against America. So I pleaded with the Saudis to take him, ’cause they could have. But they thought it was a hot potato and they didn’t and that’s how he wound up in Afghanistan.
Clinton later claimed to have misspoken and stated that there had never been an offer to turn over bin Laden.

Lawrence Wright, in his Pulitzer Prize-winning "The Looming Tower," flatly states that Sudan did make such an offer, based on an interview with Sudanese minister of state for defense, Maj. Gen. Elfatih Erwa. The offer took place at a secret meeting in a Rosslyn, Va., hotel, with CIA operatives. Major General Erwa notes that those who most prominently deny Erwa’s claims were not in fact present for the meeting.

The subprime mortgage crisis for which George W. is blamed to this day, was created by the Community Reinvestment Act, signed by Jimmy Carter in 1977. The CRA intimidated banks ordering they had "an affirmative obligation" to meet the credit needs of their communities. Federal banking regulators literally bullied them into approving mortgages to unqualified minority applicants by threatening approval of their routine requests to merge or to open new branches. Their political maneuvering ensured that inner-city neighborhoods stayed poor by discouraging the kinds of investment that might have benefited them, and ultimately came within a hair of bringing down the world's economy, and President Bush is still blamed.

One of the most outrageous and persistent lies perpetrated against President Bush's presidency was the progressive news anchors who falsely insisted, day after day, week after week, month after month, that the President had failed to fulfill his Texas Air National Guard duty as an F-102 fighter pilot.

George W. Bush fulfilled his duties and met all requirements for Air National Guard officers during his service from 1968 to 1973, including two full-time years successfully training to be a fighter interceptor pilot, receiving excellent reviews, and subsequent years of night patrols, flying out over the gulf of Mexico for NORAD.

http://old.nationalreview.com/flashback/york200408261025.asp

George W. Bush worships God, not himself. He did not rein in spending. He was not perfect unless he is compared to his predecessor and/or his successor, but he has a good heart and an intelligent mind, and he is a patriot of the United States.
