Politifact: In 2010 the US Academy of Sciences found that out of 1372 scientists surveyed, 98% believed that humans are the cause of climate change!

ote=peter11937]That number is based of misrepresentation. There was a request to comment on the theory that anthropogenic CO2 was the driver of global warming. Over 3,000 responded, mostly saying no. The logic being that in the geological sense, when CO2 had been as high as at least 8,000 parts per million and today with 380-400 parts per million there was no excessive or dangerous overheating. Or for that matter, Earsth was slightly warmer, but very life friendly.
So the grad student simply eliminated those who disagreed, selected 76 letters, 75 agreed, one disagreed, and BINGO, printed a final editorial saying 97 percent agreed that anthropogenic CO2 cased warmng.
The computer model used to project Earth's warming (the globe, not the flat onefrom CO2 uses the Earth as a flattened disc facing theSun at an angle. Earth is a globe, not a disc, so no projection from such a program can be correct. The fraud goes on and on and not least is the fact that the Earth has been slightly cooling since 1997. The religious warmists model showed it still warming...... Religious warmists because they still believe. CO2 as a fact, in the past has never driven climate.

You will note that I did not even mention the number signing the petition saying that CO2 was not the driver of climate change. It was 31,000 and still climbing.

Agree completely. Solar energy in all forms and cycles rules the climate affected by Saturn and Jupiter's changing our orbit slightly and earth's precession (wobble) all affect climate. Humanity affects only the trace gasses in the atmosphere, and may effect climate by about 0.28 percent of he total effect of CO2, which is less that 4 percent of the greenhouse effect. So, 0.28 percent of less that 4 percent is so small as to be within background noise. My, are we IMPRESSIVE and more than a little full of ourselves.

Yes, money and power. Isn't that always the issue. Algore has been pretty quiet since Qatar paid him $100 million pre tax for his bankrupt network. If that was not a payoff, there has never been one.

Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere has always followed heating and cooling by 600 years. The warmer, the more CO2, the cooler, the C?O2 decreases. CO2 has never, in Earth's history, driven climate. Why should it do so now?

Correct. Castro's killing is extensive and not limited to his borders. Che died on his knees begging for mercy, and he got what he gave, no mercy. Cuba harbors convicted America murderers, aircraft hijackers, and others
Castro's circle of death included Africa and at least 1.3 million killed. Castro murdered many American who had helped him in his war, thinking he wanted a democratic government. Despicable regime.

Obama has just issued orders to begin normalizing U.S. relations with Cuba, which has been under embargo since 1961. This comes after the release of Alan Gross, convicted of being an American, from a Cuban prison, in exchange for the release of 3 Cubans convicted of espionage. Another great negotiation job by Obama, which follows his negotiations earlier this year that secured the release of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, deserter, in exchange for five Taliban top men who were prisoners held at the Guantanamo Bay detention center.

The Democrats are all for normal relations with Cuba and the Republicans are all against it, and I'm somewhere in the middle.

The GOP argument is that this won't change anything in the Cuban dictatorship and will do little to help the people, but I disagree. No, the dictatorship won't change much, not for awhile, but the people will definitely be a lot better off financially. For starters, 57 political prisoners are to be freed as part of this deal.

Tourism to Cuba will start back up soon and there will be plenty of Americans spending vacations in Cuba and spending dollars that those people desperately need. Car collectors are going to absolutely swarm over there to buy up all those vintage cars.

Ending the embargo will start bringing in dollars for exports again, instead of rubles and yuan, which have never been a favorite currency in Cuba. Fact is, US dollars are the normal currency there.

Look what happened in China when their market was opened up to U.S. trade. They prospered like mad and the people gained a measure of freedom they'd lost under communism. It's not the best, but it's better because of trade with America, and it will be the same with Cuba. The more we're involved with them, the more concessions to democracy their government is going to make. I wouldn't mind going to see Cuba again. Guantanamo Bay Naval Base was all I ever saw of it, but that was really beautiful. I bet Cuba has a lot more to offer.

That Obama is the worst negotiator we've ever had, far outstripping even Jimmy Carter, is a given, and I wonder what his real reason is for doing this. Even so, I can see good coming from it, provided he doesn't have some evil plan up his sleeve. That wouldn't surprise me.

A relative was a security offices there about 20 years ago. Designed the cells for the al-Qaeda thugs. There is no evidence that the 57 will not be re arrested, or that 114 others won't replace them. As usual with Obama's Admin. negotiations, freedom loses.

Don't forget he excused muslims from Obamacare. By fiat. So much for his respecting Constitutional limits, from one.

Mohammed married a 6 year old, consummated the marriage when she was 9. He was probably an epileptic, who claimed these fits as visitation from Allah, a contraction of al-Illah their moon god (one on many Arab gods) and proclaimed that Allah was the only god, but left room for the jinn demigods in their own right.

Frst, demonstrate that their revered Qur'an is full of flaws, wrong on its' ""science" , borrows very badly from the Torah and New Testament rife with inaccuracies, and contains internal contradictions. After they are in doubt, that is are borderline apostates, do what you will and be sure they know they will be buried upon death without washing of the body in wrapped in the skin of a freshly slaughtered hog.

It is detestable that the loony left attempts to compare our "waterboarding" where no one dies or is even disabled with the Japanese and NAZI waterboarding where death was the usual outcome. Having a wet washcloth over your face while blindfolded with a doctor present is "modern" waterboarding. The FOX resident liberal idiot Alan Combs sees NO DIFFERENCE! What a dipstick!

Hopefully, in 16 more days, the fangs will be pulled, anf we'll have a true lame duck who can rail and preach all he wants with no effect. Presidential orders can be eliminated by acts of congress, IF the people stay on them and keep the on the path away from an autocracy.

Very true. As you know half the Qur'an is made up of poorly written re writes of the Old and New Testaments. Pathetic, really. The rest is sexist, warlike, aggressive toward all non believers ( eg: strike their necks and cut off all their fingertips) demanding of total belief , total submission and designed to create wealth for Mohammed. It was successful , Mohammed, an illiterate , died suddenly a wealthy man. At the instant of his death, Mohammed as leading an army into war....... again.
