Experts Predict Imminent Collapse of U.S. Dollar

600 years of human history has shown that the average lifespan of a global reserve currency is equal to a “saeculum” – or “human lifetime” – of about 80-90 years, broken down into four 20-year generations. The best-selling book, “The Fourth Turning,” goes through history and demonstrates this 4-phase evolution:

All Fiat Currencies Collapse
“Fiat” currency is paper currency backed by nothing tangible. As opposed to “sound money” which is was backed by gold or some other valuable commodity, a fiat currency is backed by nothing more than faith in the government.
I say buy booze, you can drink it, barter with it and it can also be used as a flaming cocktail.
It last a long time as well.
Experts Predict Imminent Collapse of U.S. Dollar ... (show quote)

"All Fiat Currencies Collapse" Something is not right in this assumption. At least the promissory note represents a commodity of practical value, such as food, shelter and clothing, soybeans, corn pork bellies, or copper, coal and oil that have some industrial use. In Western culture, that would also include human services and knowledge as a valuable commodity, (patents). Copyright infringement is rampant in China, where they attach no value to "individual ideas" as private property.

Perhaps the real issue at hand is not what currency we trade in but the fact that we should not be trading at all with communist nations.

Perhaps you can explain the value of money as a tool for barter to us? How can one hour of labor on an American farm where a combine machine can harvest enough grain to feed 1000 people be equivalent to an hour of labor on a Chinese farm where a hoe and sickle feeds 10 people?

What difference would it make if we had a gold standard or paper fiat standard, there is no equivalency. The problem is that communists followers believe every hour of labor is equal, no matter the quantity or quality in production.

They always pluck that phrase of Marx's out of context: "Each According to his ability, each according to his needs," ignoring the fact that the German Socialist Workers Party that Marx wrote for plotted to eliminate the weak to end the production discrepancies.

Maybe the dollar should not be an "international standard" on the global market because there is no global standard in production. Merely deflating the worth of the dollar by allowing the presses to hum night and day is not raising anybody's standard of living, it I financing endless wars.

What is done is done but the question remains, when does our National Debt become unmanageable ? Why are we unable to trim the fat from government and stop all non-essential spending ? So far, I am aware of only one person in all of government who has had the courage to submit a budget what would have balanced in 10 years (Paul Ryan). Needless to say, his proposal was dead on arrival in the Senate and Harry Reid would not even allow the bill to be debated. We are now printing 65 billion in new dollars every month just to keep the monstrous government and its programs going. We are allowed to do that because the dollar is still recognized as the currency of choice around the world. Until recently, all trade was conducted in dollars but some countries are now forming alliances with each other to trade goods in their own currencies. Should the dollar lose its reserve status around the world we would be in dire straights as our lenders could back away and we would have to shut down the printing presses. Our leaders in Washington,D.C. are well aware of this but they sit on their butts and do nothing. It is important for us start living within our means instead of waiting until the interest on our debts eats up most of GDP. Good Luck America !!!

Ricko,
There is a huge difference between Republican and Democrat Party agendas. Republicans are pro prosperity for Americans, business creation and job creation, and Democrats are for redistributing our prosperity to global dictatorships to guarantee we are equally poor.

Take a look at this history of Progressive/Democrat Party since President Woodrow Wilson's creation of the Federal Reserve Board and tell us what you think? What was the hidden agenda of creating this giant INFLATION MACHINE and the devaluing of the buying power of our dollar to 3 Cents since the inception of the Feds 100 years ago?

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2014/10/federal-reserve-performance-have-business-cycles-really-been-tamed
Federal Reserve Performance: Have Business Cycles Really Been Tamed? By Norbert J. Michel, Ph.D.

"Despite this conventional view, surprisingly few comprehensive academic studies exist that assess the Federal Reserve’s overall performance since its founding in 1913. A close look at the evidence suggests that the conventional view should be re-evaluated. Several studies suggest that data deficiencies caused key pre-Fed-era data to appear more volatile than their Fed-era counterparts. There is, in fact, evidence that the Fed has not been as effective as once thought in accomplishing its stabilization goals, and even some evidence that the Fed era has had more economic instability than before the Fed’s creation..."

Norbert Michel speaks of the Feds limiting "economic contractions" and "taming business cycles" but does not speak to the ramifications of the Feds inflation machine ripping off the life savings of retired seniors and the banks lending capital for small businesses.

Instead, the Feds have decreased the value of the dollar to that of a peso or yen to prop up international dictatorships for a century under "Détente."
In fact, Michel quotes studies citing 'Although the time separating [market] contractions has become longer between the pre-World War I and post war eras, recessions themselves have not on average become shorter, less severe, or less persistent over time.' [12] Romer, “Remeasuring Business Cycles,” p. 606."

This whole concept that the Federal Reserve Board and Banks are here to level the "volatility of the market" is an ongoing hoax since its inception, whereas its real intent has been to use American labor to subsidize every communist and fascist dictatorship around the globe, prolong mass slavery, and mass murder.

How many American jobs vanished overseas since we opened the doors of Detente with the "peaceful rise of China" which now has the second largest military power on earth intimidating its neighbors while their citizens still harvest their crops with a plow strapped to their backs? We did all of this to build a business partner while destroying our business base at home? Guess what? The business partner and new market across the Pacific is not there.

Even after NAFTA, we have an influx of illegal aliens like never before, some estimate 34 million demanding amnesty while we house 92 million American citizens unemployed or under-employed that have fallen off the radar?

We can only conclude that the Democrat-Progressive Party is deliberately at war with America.

Might I suggest a simple remedy to this over-bloated out-of-control government that is peeing our money down a rathole? When it comes to the President's cabinet posts and bureaucracies, save the Department of State and the Department of Defense.

FIRST, turn off the Inflation Machine, the Federal Reserve's printing presses.

PRIVATIZE EVERYTHING ELSE.

Put the bureaucracies up for auction and see if these arrogant bureaucrats could survive in the private market, just as Boris Yeltsin did after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Sell HHS to the Mayo Clinic or the Rockefeller Institute.

PRIVATIZE the 159 new HHS bureaucracies organized to enforce compliance with the Patients Protection and Affordable Care Act!

That would save us half of all the tax revenue frittered away into the mysterious abyss of government cronyism, bailouts and waste.

I doubt these nurses are protesting their civil rights.

Many of these nurses are unionized and hope for socialized medicine to eventually coral 1/6th of the US workforce in the medical industry into paying forced union dues.

Are they making a mockery out of our Constitution, including the 10th Amendment that allocates any power not specifically designated to the federal government belonging to the States and the people? That would include the authority for governors to quarantine its citizens that potentially might be sick with a contagious disease.

If this nurse wants to push the limits of the law, she may find herself "quarantined" for much longer than 21 days.

By the time Obama and the Feds stop printing money ($10 TRILLION in year 2016), the dollar will be worth 40 Cents of its purchasing power. Interest rates at these banks is still 0.01% - and they ain't loaning their dwindling cash flow out as start-up capital for small business people in Chicago or Detroit, or even to Main Street in Middletown Indiana.

Brooklyn prosecutor emerges as a top candidate to lead U.S. Justice Department
By Aruna Viswanatha and Julia Edwards:

"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Loretta Lynch, the head federal prosecutor in Brooklyn, is emerging as a leading candidate to replace U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, according to people familiar with the matter, after another top contender withdrew her name from the running last week.

Lynch, Solicitor General Donald Verrilli, and Labor Secretary Thomas Perez are among those being considered, said the people, who declined to be named about the private deliberations.

Lynch, 55, has stirred little controversy during two tenures as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York and supporters say she could be easily confirmed..."

Ms. Lynch doesn't look like the type of gal who would play incite to riot at Ferguson just prior the midterm election.

Loretta Lynch is experienced and we hope honest. What do you know about this Federal Reserve Board Bank of New York? Isn't this the bank money laundering for the Russian Mafia and the Ukraine? Or am I mistaken? Ms. Lynch had previously been on the Bank's board according to the rest of this lengthy article by the AP.

Vietnam Vet - Eeeegads. There is a definite problem with the lack of law at the top. Holder will not leave office until he is replaced. BUT BUT BUT, this guy Thomas Perez has a very seedy side to his lengthy engagement with the seedy side of the law. Google the numerous articles on Thomas Perez's extensive career in the State of Maryland, his manipulation of the courts, affiliation with the Laborers International Union of North America, and rise to power under the Obama Administration.

HOW THOMAS PEREZ PLAYED THE GAME
redefining the definition of "descrimination" via the "disparate impact theory" even when no discrimination was committed by the banks, he shook them down for hundreds of millions of dollars in fines under the Federal Housing Act.

Google "The National Right to Work Newsletter - Thomas Perez" over the past decade. If you think we have trouble with Holder, this guy is much worse. The problem is that the drug cartels have been buying up these houses, not the poor.

And of course, now the children of these Latino criminal cartels, are being sent north. And, as you cite, there is a mix of danger within these illegal aliens flooding our borders.

Maybe there are others on this board who can give us a clearer picture of Holder and Perez, if the ridiculous flow of personal insults would subside for a few moments.

Let us add to this discussion about Thomas Perez as a replacement to Erik Holder reiterating the comment above:
"Laborers International Union of North America, an organization the Department of Labor Inspector General's racketeering section considered corrupt."

This is in reference to the Laborers International Union of North America's own records. Pull up these websites on their affiliation with Mobster Santo Trafficante:

http://www.laborers.org/AP_Trafficante_3-19-87.html
Laborers-LIUNA Mob Boss Santo Trafficante Dies
"Still pending against Mr. Trafficante was a 1981 Miami indictment charging him with participating in a kickback scheme to bilk millions of dollars from a health and welfare fund set up for Laborers International Union of North America."

Trafficante held ties to Cuba as well as the CIA, and a wide network of other mobsters in the Mexican drug cartels. Right now, we have open borders under this Democrat administration with hundreds of thousands of illegals - thousands of them children of these Latino drug cartels, stampeding through Texas, Arizona, and California.

Meanwhile, Erik Holder and the DHS has been prosecuting state police for arresting these thugs while simultaneously freeing over 2,000 of indicted illegal alien criminals back into these same states bordering Mexico.

To think that President Obama would knowingly nominate Perez to replace Erik Holder is treason at its highest level, or worse, to the Supreme Court.

There it is, the IRS admitted to its political bias.

First, it is good that we have an appeals process in the courts.
Secondly, how do you folks feel about replacing the IRS with either a "Fair" consumption tax or a "Flat" Tax?

We currently have 74,000 pages of laws and legal loopholes in the IRS tax code. This is lunacy. Simplicity would yield honesty and fairness in compliancy and enforcement, eliminate tax cheats and actually reap more tax revenue.

And, we could eliminate the the IRS, cut taxes, grow industry, jobs and prosperity while actually expanding the tax base and tax revenue. Liberals understand this principle too, they just want a two class system to gerrymander the votes.

There are many other bureaucracies that are dysfunctional and should be privatized. Gov. Rick Perry has a great list on where to start first in whacking down this briar patch of bureaucracies.
