Shipmate: First, thank you for your service! No, it did not start with the landing of the MayFlower, however, it did begin soon after. Most people simply refuse to receive the apparent truth because it is not pretty and not easily understood. Here's the short version: Yes, the colonists fled the tyranny of Britain and came to the "new world." The winter of 1620 when the colonists landed on Plymouth Rock was an extremely cold and harsh one. Many of the colonists were not able to endure the harsh winter and died from "flu like" symptoms. Had it not been for the grace of the Native Indians, the colonists would have frozen or starved that first winter. The Indians taught the colonists how to hunt and fish during the winter, how to make clothing, and how to store food. Not long after that, the colonists repaid the Indians by raiding their villages, killing all in sight -even children and the elderly. The colonists went so far as to make and break each and every treaty made with the Indians, and forced them to live on ever decreasing 'reservations' to control them. Totally outnumbered and out gunned (the colonists had 'black powder' and guns against the Indians hatchet, bow and arrows), the Indians had no choice but to obey the very same people who depended on them to live. When the colonists realized the Indians were adaptable and could live on the reservations with little to zero outside help, the colonists decided to speed up their demise by giving them blankets laced with small pox. That was the beginning. Not long after this, the colonists basically sought to "take over" the entire continent now known as America. The colonists (by now known as "white men" -which includes all European groups with white skin) begin to systematically corral and limit the freedom of other races and cultures -here think: Irish, Chinese, German, French, etc., to gain control over the land and livestock within. Skip ahead and slavery of the black man from Africa (and many other nations) was introduced....Over the decades, history reveals that the white man will invade and take over any group of people or nation that may have something of value that the white man doesn't - strangely, he calls it capitalism or free enterprise - while most others see it as greed and selfishness. Jump ahead to current times, and sadly, the cycle continues. However, due to the fact that many of the white race see the error of their ancestors and know in their hearts that "one race controlling all others" is not what was meant to be - the race is now divided. There are those who fight, scream and shout for the freedom, prosperity, and goodness available to those who choose to value diversity while striving for a "better world" together - and there are those who fight, scream and shout to cling to the 'old ways' -when the white man ruled all he surveyed without challenge or question - currently under the guise of "Making America Great Again" - the question remains; for whom? Tap - this of course is a very condensed explanation that skips over quite a bit. However, it is a reference place to start. I do not support our current administration, but will gladly engage in rational discourse -without the scuttlebutt - if that is what you seek.

Wow great thought!! I agree with you wholeheartedly. I would also add that the welfare expansions we've seen since the mid 1960s has created two things. 1. There is a large group of people who no longer strive but blame and a larger group of people who resent supporting them; and 2. That we literally have begun to elect rulers instead of representatives. Some of the shizznit that comes out of Washington is bizarre to the extreme. For instance LBJ deciding to have the American people subsidize medical school for Indian nationals; Nixon administration expanding immigration; Carter administration changing rules for immigrants; Clinton administration providing welfare benefits to illegal immigrants; and most everything that came out of the Obama administration. I can't believe the average person supported or even knew about these programs. NOT very representative of the wishes of the people.

Where is it becoming great again. Just lost you’re Trump bump. Only 2.1 million jobs down from Obama’s average in his last two years of 2.4 million. Country is marred in a major scandal. Walked away from TPP and WTO China now controls world trade. Now you got this foolish Nunes memo that’s absolutly making the republicans look like jerks. NATO wants nothing to die with the US. China now controls the entrance and exit to the Panama Canal. We have a $1.5 trillion deficit. But when you try to convince Pedaphile supporters that that freak in the White House is a pathological lying piece of garbage it’s a waste of time.

First President to apply for college aid as a foreign student, then deny he was a foreigner.
First President to have a social security number from a state he has never lived in.
First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United States.

First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
First President to require all Americans to purchase a product from a third party.
First President to spend a trillion dollars on “shovel-ready” jobs when there was no such thing as “shovel-ready” jobs.
First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his union supporters.
First President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through executive fiat.
First President to order a secret amnesty program that stopped the deportation of illegal immigrants across the U.S., including those with criminal convictions.
First President to demand a company hand-over $20 billion to one of his political appointees.
First President to tell a CEO of a major corporation (Chrysler) to resign.
First President to terminate America’s ability to put a man in space.
First President to cancel the National Day of Prayer and to say that America is no longer a Christian nation.
First President to have a law signed by an auto-pen without being present.
First President to arbitrarily declare an existing law unconstitutional and refuse to enforce it.

First President to threaten insurance companies if they publicly spoke out on the reasons for their rate increases.

First President to appoint 45 czars to replace elected officials in his office.
First President to surround himself with radical left wing anarchists.
First President to golf more than 150 separate times in his five years in office.
First President to hide his birth, medical, educational and travel records.
First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing NOTHING to earn it.
First President to go on multiple “global apology tours” and concurrent “insult our friends” tours.
First President to go on over 17 lavish vacations, in addition to date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends paid for by the taxpayers.
First President to have personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife.
First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000 a year at taxpayer expense.
First President to fly in a personal trainer from Chicago at least once a week at taxpayer expense.
First President to repeat the Holy Quran and tell us the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth
First President to side with a foreign nation over one of the American 50 states (Mexico vs Arizona).
First President to tell the military men and women that they should pay for their own private insurance because they “volunteered to go to war and knew the consequences.”
Then he was the First President to tell the members of the military that THEY were UNPATRIOTIC for balking at the last suggestion. (Thank God he didn’t get away with THIS one.)

First president to have blood on his hands from Benghazi to the assassinations of several police officers.
First president to trade 5 terrorist for a traitor
